  1. You're right, but with the advent of FFP you need to be constantly brilliant at building the best value for money squad else you'll quickly sink. In the last few years we've failed miserably at this game, although apparently no one will ever responsible for our ability to collect expensive flops.
  2. We've had nearly 10 years of being either brilliant or total rubbish, with some bottling involved, but when we've been in strong positions we've failed to get the recruitment right. I think that's been the biggest factor.
  3. I'm not making excuses for our fans as I'm in total agreement that we're terrible, but I've often thought about our inability to mount any sort of sustained pressure because of the style of play we've adopted for years now has contributed. We just don't get that wave of togetherness that we've seen from other clubs this season when we've caved in.
  4. Well unless Enzo abandons his 70mins total tactics change then we might get run very close.
  5. SK1 was pretty loud right from KO, but there also seemed to be times when the whole end was together, maybe there is hope.
  6. It's a problem that is easily solved with a few additions to the stadium roof but nothing will get done. The club may have moved on hugely in the last 20 years, but barely a penny has been spent on anything to improve the environment for supporters.
  7. SK1 were very good tonight, I know it's about 2% of the support and it doesn't travel but a decent effort. Aside from a few isolated individuals the rest of the crowd was a giant bum stain on LCFC, so embarrassed about their efforts that they sloped off early.
  8. Make this happen🤞😁
  9. I think laziness has played a part. It's easy to give out extended contracts to existing players, the hard route is saying goodbye at a players peak, negotiating a good deal with a buyer then identifying a replacement (the way we used to do things). To Clubs like us, Brighton, etc, player turnover is everything. We got lazy when the success came. I think this also applies to some of the signings we made, throwing money at it, and surprise surprise you end up with player after player that you can't give away. I don't know how much of this Rudkin is responsible for, but somebody decided to change the method.
  10. Also, if the big clubs don't spend then the money doesn't filter down to the lower clubs, how sustainable will that make them?
  11. If this doesn't go through I expect a thorough investigation will take place, headed up by????
  12. The "we are where we are" statement was pretty clear on this subject😂
  13. Firstly, he's not threatened anyone or said people cannot question him. Secondly, there appears to be some double standards at play here if he can't give an opinion on what will happen if his style of play is rejected.
  14. I honestly don't know where we go from here. I feel like giving up on trying to be positive in the stadium when you're surrounded by the passive or moaners. I can't help thinking the club has ended up with the supporters it deserves after 20 years of trying to influence and control every aspect of supporter behaviour.
  15. I find it easier just to dismiss any point made by someone who can't even get the name of the League correct.
  16. The majority are on side as you've already said. Calling out those that refuse to get behind the team, leave early and can't see past 2016 is fine by me.
  17. The only person who should be thinking about the Premier League is the person charged with forming a contingency plan should we make it. That isn't a concern of supporters, all we need to do is back the team 100%
  18. It took F#rest fans 30 years to get over this attitude.
  19. Unfortunately he's one of those players that has wasted the best days of his career for financial gain, nothing more to say about him.
  20. I stayed til the end, applauded the players, had a piss before I left, slow walk to the car, made it home to Wigston at 10:20. I don't think there is much doubt, we now have the worst fans in the country, not only vocally but also for loyalty. A team to be proud of, but awful supporters.
  21. At least the drunken hangover from Rodgers will gradually fade away now that he's gone. Rudkin is still doing shots at 6am.
  22. At this stage I'd just be happy with some extra bogs in the South Stand.
  23. The wage bill is still vast for a club at this level, most of which is being blown on Praet, Choudhury etc. The Rodgers/Rudkin hangover will take years to recover from.
  24. LCD Soundsystem Shame
  25. I have no problems with a late equaliser, it's happens. But passing corners backwards to the point where you eventually lose the ball and taking free kicks backwards that are 10 yards into the oppositions half are not signs of positivity. This was a game where we would need more than one goal to win the game, Ipswich were bound to come at us as we tired, but we were trying to play the game out with 30 mins left. There was a hint of arrogance in that performance. A real shame as we'd done well against a very decent side.
