It's maybe more about the feeling I've had coming away from the 3 home games, but I've not left the stadium from any of them feeling like we've been played off the park or completely battered. We've probably had more 45min performances and definitely areas to improve, but either way to me we've felt competitive (as a subjective as opposed to metric based view).

Before the season started, I thought we'd go down due to point deductions and just not having a squad good enough. Both feel like moot points now, and having seen the team and some other games I honestly believe we should be targeting something around 10-14th place (as much as a mindset). It's now looking like the thing that will be our undoing is purely down to tactics and even more so our in-game management. He's got us pretty competitive, but Coopers winless streak in the Prem unfortunately points to a manager who is probably a bit out of his depth at this level. Plenty of strikers for example who can cut it in the Championship but not make the step up, feels like Cooper may be the manager equivalent.

Got to get my son his first car. Eek! Usual first car requirements; small, low power, reliable, cheapish to insure, nothing too uncool, will have to last a few years so my daughter can use it. Was thinking £3-4k type price range and maybe a Fiesta or Polo based on 10mins of Googling. Anyone been in a similar position and got any advice on things to steer clear of or park? (pun intended!)

As excited as I was to see him start, with hindsight I think Buonanotte would’ve been a better option. Who knows what their respective ceilings are as players but right now he looks far more suited to the league, which as we know is faster and more physical than anywhere else. Yes I know Bilal needs pitch time to get there, but a few more weeks of 30min (not 2min!) sub appearances will help with that.

I did enjoy Arsenals 6-3-0 formation second half vs Man City yesterday. Maybe we go with that but with another DM! One area Arsenal are particularly strong in which has been a weakness for us is corners. Would be tempted to go 3 atb to bring in another tall CB, play Ndidi and also Eduoard just for this. And hope the new set piece coach is an absolute genius! Realistically they have better players, tactics and in-game management so we can just hope luck is on our side.

Was fully expecting AJ to call out Jake Paul in his post fight interview.

Was a pretty rough watch with two teams locking confidence played in pretty bizarre conditions. At kick off the team selection looked ok to me. Three main concerns during the match. I struggle to describe our style of play and we don’t look like we have a cohesive plan for how to attack. There were some dreadful individual decisions/moments across the team. Then most of all the f-fun subs! We equalise, Everton confidence shaken so the obvious is to turn the screw and attack. Get Fatawu, Eduoard and Skipp on! Don’t wait till the 88th min to bring Fatawu on then replace Mavididi! Cooper definitely comes across as a manager who wants to not lose more than he wants to win.

Overall pretty happy with the team tbh. You can argue for a couple of changes but all said it’s a decent line up with a strong bench. Okoli vs DCL should be a good old fashioned battle.

We might win 4-0. We might lose 4-0. Or it could be anything in between. One thing we’re not is predictable! Think we can all agree Cooper isn’t a world class manager, I’m hoping today that he proves to be a lucky one.

At least Rosie is coming across as being fun which in itself is endearing. Seen her do stand up and on various shows and TM has made me warm to her. Jack Dee and his “I’m hating this” just isn’t entertaining after the first 5 mins and Babayawnde isn’t bringing anything. Favourite is the guy in the cricket outfit (can’t be bothered to find out who he is!) and the Inspector Gadget girl is also good.

Oh well, it paid Niclas Füllkrugs wages for a week.

Assuming he stays this is going one of two ways. Either he’ll now feel settled here, get his head straight and play his way into the squad/team. Or he’ll lose interest, put on weight and we’ll never hear from him again. Hoping for the former, probably expecting the latter.
