  1. The other (/only) think going for an interim manager is we’d surely have the DoF in by the summer. Only we’d appoint a manager before his boss!
  2. Like seriously, please stop, it's depressing.
  3. Much like a girl called Louise who I really (really) fancied at University, he'll forever hold a secret place in my heart as the special one who got away.
  4. Good move for him. Could really do with 10+ games of mens football (ideally with a few goals) between now and the end of the season if he's to push into our squad next season. Not getting that here so Northampton Town seems a sensible move.
  5. Agreed, be good to get a second League One title under our belt.
  6. Realistically we probably have two options; an out of work manager who will put up with working in the asylum for the inevitable pay off at some point or an up and coming manager too naive to know exactly what they're getting into.
  7. I mean they literally follow each other in terms of storyline so could’ve been one with some scene cuts and longing running time. It’s a trilogy though so not sure how that would work. Either way not hard to believe dollars over art was the deciding factor!
  8. Yeah not expecting it to happen either, was more a reaction to the topic title. Watched an old interview with Jack Ma over the weekend where he acknowledged he knows very little about lots of topics, his success comes from hiring experts in these blind spots and listening to them. Basically what Top needs to do. Just hoping there's someone he listens to who can point out that his current "experts" in this scenario may not be that.
  9. It could change if he acknowledged he was a bit out his depth and busy elsewhere and put in a structure of competent people below him to run the club. In fact he'd be better off doing that! By all accounts we had one of them in place with Whelan but she was forced out, we all know where the big problem in the club lies. So there is a way out of this mess for Top, but it requires him to remove the blinkers, make the tough call on Rudkin, appoint an experienced CEO and DoF and then hand over the keys.
  10. Feels pretty clear Top came here to back him then sat through the match and experienced the performance and fan sentiment first hand and changed his mind. Hence the mixed interview messages. With that in mind, and how painfully slow we are recruiting (see DoF/CEO timelines) we won’t even have a shortlist. Not that I think it’s the right thing to do, but reckon King (plus maybe a bit of support) could be here longer than expected through sheer board incompetency.
  11. Hopefully for his own sanity, at home watching YouTube videos on how to block all 0116 phone calls to his mobile.
  12. Two very contrasting films over the weekend. 28 Years Bone Temple on Friday, which following the last installment that I found pretty meh was actually really good fun. Gore definitely ramped up and just about stayed on the right line in the silly fun vs plain ridiculous at times. Then Lars and the Real Girl last night. Thought it was a really beautiful gentle telling of healing, love and compassion which once I'd got over the initial premise I actually really enjoyed.
  13. Top needs to print this off and put it next to his phone as a reminder for the next time he’s about to call Rudkin for an update on the search…
  14. From my sister…! Game over in the family Wordle WhatsApp today 🤨 Wordle 1,682 1/6 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  15. Don’t know close we got to getting him, but Rohl doing well at Rangers and appears to have been the better choice over Marti. Too late now mind.
  16. Feels very Man Utd; appointing a sub standard manager due to previous connections to the club. No offence to King, but he has zero track record of management and has literally been part of the problem in some capacity. Appointing him would be a gamble too far given our current predicament and squad. Hard pass.
  17. Russell Martin just feels depressingly obvious for our board.
  18. As soon as managers start sticking up the big CB for the last 10mins it spells the beginning of the end. However, Top seriously needs to now look at the person who is appointing the managers, signing the players, handing out the contracts, causing the PSR troubles etc. It’s painfully obvious where the problem lies and yet another manager (good or not) has fallen on his sword for incompetence above him. We got lucky with Enzo, unless he addresses this we’ll be opening up a similar thread in 6-12 months time.
  19. … your man? Oh god he’s staying 😩
  20. OP defo trying to get tickets for the WSL after recent signings!
  21. If football was purely passing the ball back to the person who has just passed it to you he’d have a ballon d’or based on yesterday.
  22. All In thought it was great TV and pleased for the traitors to win. Fair play they played the game superbly to be there together from start to finish. Integrity and being faithful paid off! Some pretty vanilla faithfuls who just couldn’t see it definitely helped but I bet it’s so intense and hard to see when you’re in the house playing.
  23. Geesh, mid table mediocrity is now our ambitions aim!
  24. I’d prefer him to win, it’s becoming a game of most dull standing and at least he has a personality. Just feels like him, James, Rachel and Jade all have some form of heat on them. Could see maybe it coming down to if Jack would back Stephen or Faraaz.
  25. Should’ve killed Faraaz. Left a monster there. Can’t see any scenario that him and Jack (whose name I’ve only learnt tonight) don't win now.
