queensguardfox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Leicester eye right-sided Spanish midfielder Leicester, Latest news update: 28 minutes ago Leicester City are on the trail of 25-year-old Spanish midfielder Igor Martinez and had him watched last weekend for Mirandes. A Foxes scout was present at Mirandes' 0-0 draw with Sabadell in the Spanish second division - leading to speculation that Martinez is to be targeted when he becomes available on a free transfer this summer. The former Athletic Bilbao man joined Mirandes on a free transfer two years ago and helped the tiny Basque club avoid relegation last season. He operates on the right-hand side of midfield and has scored three goals in 32 matches in all competitions over the course of the current campaign. The Vitoria-born player has been credited with three assists and 28 key passes in the Segunda this season.Read more at: https://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/leicester-eye-right-sided-spanish-midfielder-1765771.html?
TrentFox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 One for the ChampionshipYou mean we are going to loan him to Forest?
filbertway Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 3 goals, 3 assists in 32 games playing in the Spanish 2nd division! I'm guessing it must be the 28 key passes stat that has taken our scouting team's notice.
TOMBlcfc Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Also searching him on youtube to find a tuba player isn't usually a good sign
ALC Fox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 I trust the scouts. They're sifting for gold in Europe's lesser leagues. It worked with Knocky and Mahrez so why not this guy? It's a little concerning that he's not caught the eye before the age of 25 but look at Vardy.
Dan Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Pretty sure there was nothing on Youtube about Knockaert/Mahrez either. Intriguing if so. Another possible gem.
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Could be an utter gem, but 3 goals, 3 assists in 32 in the spanish second division doesn't look good... hopefully their strikers are just a bit doggo and he's actually a creative tour-de-force.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 He's not a 'wow' signing tbh... Neither was Mahrez.
TOMBlcfc Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Neither was Mahrez. To be fair Mahrez was younger and higher rated. Also he was knocking on the door of the algeria national team. I'll remain hopeful with this lad though (if we get him). Always hope for a spaniard!
leicesterisme Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 I'm not exactly filled with enthusiasm, Are you ever?

conLAD logan Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Mahrez wasn't even close to being considered for Algeria before singing for usTbh I don't think his voice is even that good
