If we finish the job, what's our aim next season?

I'd like to see us progress in the cup as Villa have this season. I would also like us to be comfortable and not worried about relegation by March. I think 40-50points is a realistic target if we stay up and recruit some fresh legs with proven quality over summer.

We have to keep moving forwards. So a few additions and 10/12th in the league. Decent cup runs.

Season after strengthen more top 8. Assuming the thais keep backing.

Then season after Europe. Those have to be the goals if we want to be successful as a club.

The OP has history of premature threads, I do believe he created one wonderfully titled   'that has to be it. Pearson needs to go'.

This is true, hence my pointing out of the word 'IF.'

We're not safe yet, I'm merely talking hypothetical situations.

Might be an absolute pipe dream but it would be great if the likes of Chilwell, Choudhry and maybe Ndukwu came through to at least be a part of the first team squad.

Is it possible that they could make an appearance on the last day if it's a dead rubber?

I think players like Panayiotou, Sesay, Cain and Barmby would be before the other two for an appearance.

He gave Panayiotou a debut out of nowhere against Leeds on the last day of the season a few years ago.

I'd say why not? Or even put them on the bench and give them 20/30 minutes of game time.

Probably unlikely mate as you get more prize money the higher you finish in the league if I'm not mistaken? Plus the simple fact that we would surely be looking for the best points total possible - I think NP would pick the best 11 available and any sentimental substitutions would be for the likes of Knocky and Konch to say farewell.

Isn't it £750k per place?

Finishing 14th rather than 17th would be worth £2.25m more to the club in that case.

Think Manchester City fans thought they would ever win the league?

We've just got to wait to be bought out and bankrolled then.
