Charl91 Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Are now 6/1, according to SkyBet. Is it bad that I'm considering sneaking a £40 bet onto it? Would you ever bet against Leicester?
ScouseFox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 i had a fiver in play on the draw yesterday at about 80 mins @ 5/1. think that was cos i'd had a bet on us to win tho so was covering myself financially as much as i was covering myself emotionally.
ImBlue Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I started betting on the opposite team every week starting with west ham when they were close to 3/1 to beat us. Just keep losing money. Would leicester have won if I hasn't lost money as a sacrifice? I firmly believe not. Though, to save me money every game now, I may take this option.

bovril Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Joke right? Probably is. But I've seen men of sound minds turn into quivering, superstitious wrecks over games of football.
FrankieADZ Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 i never bet on anything to do with Leicester now...usually goes tits up anyway
Matt Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Joke right? Not really no. I've been quite adament that whenever I bet on Leicester they lose and when I bet against they pull a result out the bag whether that is win or draw. Which i'm happy about don't get me wrong (Well I am when I bet against and they win, when I back them and they lose i'm doubly pissed off). Superstitious? Maybe. Trying to make the best out of a bad situation and be in a 'win-win' situation? Definetly. Saying that I did bet on us yesterday and we won (Unfortunately other teams let me down) - I was shitting myself that I thought i'd jinxed it though. I know you had a spew earlier in the season about people betting against Leicester but people do it and it's abit of a 'pick me up' if Leicester do lose that atleast financially you're happy. On Boxing Day Harry Kane 1st goalscorer was the easiest (And quickest) bet I have ever won. All I will say is thank fuck I was too chicken to put a big bet (I was considering probably the biggest bet i've ever placed) on us finishing bottom a few weeks back!!
Filbert_Ross Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Could have £70 on us to go down then you'd get a free Championship season ticket if the worst happens.

I had a bet on Fryatt first scorer when he broke the club record for fastest goal in about 2006. 7 seconds I think

I can understand people have their mind's warped by the nerves of football as bovril described but to think that one bet affects the outcome of a match when you're calm is rather silly. Not much different to believing the unicorns and fairies will visit you on your 100th birthday.
Stevosevic Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I've started betting against Leicester, the first time I did it was West Ham 4 games ago..... I will be doing it for the remaining games, I am superstitious.

Like I say for me personally its more that i'm trying to make the best out of a bad situation and be in a 'win-win' situation (If Leicester win i've lost money but i'm happy, If Leicester lose or draw i'm pissed off but had some financial gain). There might be a slight bit of superstition mixed in with it but mostly it's so i'm in a win-win situation.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I've often bet against us in the result but then have a few goalscorer bets on our players. Nice to have a bit of money in your left pocket if we lose, can always drown your sorrows basically for free.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 6/1 is ridiculous. We're only a point above the relegation zone. Should be 3/1 maximum. It's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that we lose, draw, lose our next three.
ScouseFox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Tbh I started betting on us to win when we played West Ham. Best of both worlds.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 We're 100/1 to finish bottom. Imagine being told before the West Ham game those would be the odds four games later.
ScouseFox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 over the weekend we've been matched @ 10/1 to go down on betfair, the highest price of the season. trading @ 6/1 atm, just a touch lower than our previous highest of 7/1 when we beat man u at home. are we more likely to stay up now than we were immediately after we beat united?
merlin1969 Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Leicester 5/1 to BEAT Chelsea or 3/1 for the DRAW ...... don't seem bad
Carlos88LCFC Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 My mates bricking it now!! Haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 6/1 seems a silly price to me considering our position. I'd make us 7/2 tops.
Stevosevic Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 If we lose at home to Chelsea and soton, which is very possible, it will be a horrible nervous end.
Brooksy Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Stuck 100 on it last night, could do with the money
