Webbo Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 I wouldn't deny that Mrs T was unpopular until the Falklands but the fact that the SDP split the Labour vote proves that left wing policies are not popular even amongst Labour voters.
Claridge Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 If you can say that with no sense of shame, then you need no help from me to identify your failings - they are laid bare for all to see. Are you Ed mliaband or one of his patronising inner circle? No wonder many working people don't like labour, full of pompous prats who think they know it all. In the last 15 years labour seems to have be infected with wannabee MPS who have a degree in politics or some other self indulgent subject that doesn't translate to a job in the real world.. The old unions that represented skilled working people and were the heart of the Labour party are no more. Stupid public sector unions now hold sway,( of which i'm sure your a member) and by 12 o'clock Saturday, will of finally destroyed the Labour party. Working class people can't stand pompous prats and that is why labour is finished. Ps i'm making the assumption you are involved with the party, Councillor/failed candidate, arse licker?
Guest MattP Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Actually can't wait until Saturday, it's always fantastic when the joke candidate wins an election but this one will top the lot. Slightly annoyed i didn't get on the 100-1 though, should have realised just what could happen with this voting procedure.

Do remedial students have longer holidays than the other kids, or are you just bunking off?
johnny the fox Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 I'm confused. Do remedial students have longer holidays than the other kids, or are you just bunking off? same mind set and tactic as the corbyn true believers in the labour party.. have no relevant answer so attack the the person.
Smudge Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 same mind set and tactic as the corbyn true believers in the labour party.. have no relevant answer so attack the the person. Maybe he should have named himself "A Buce"
Buce Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 same mind set and tactic as the corbyn true believers in the labour party.. have no relevant answer so attack the the person. Same obvious lack of intellect, education, and basic human values; are you both in the same class?

Yet that split led to the centrists going bust and the Labour reincarnation winning for years. Maybe it's Jezza's ploy this time too.
Guest Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Same obvious lack of intellect, education, and basic human values; are you both in the same class? or the same room?
Buce Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 or the same room? Possibly - he did post something about another cock up..

Claridge Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Same obvious lack of intellect, education, and basic human values; are you both in the same class? Lack of intellect, you have a Corbyn avatar you muppet:Your a failed candidate aren't you? That's why your so bitter towards anyone who doesn't agree with you,arr bless you, never mind perhaps everyone will realise that you are an intellectual genius and could do so much for everyone if only they would listen.

Shush, now, the grown-ups are working. I'm sure you have some spellings to practice.

Shush, now, the grown-ups are working. I'm sure you have some spellings to practice. Wouldn't of thought many Corbyn fans would work. I'm sure you haven't got a real job in the real world and why are you so bothered about other people's education? Did you only go to a poly and have a hang up about it?
Frank to be Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 I think it's safe to say that nobody is coming out of this exchange covered in glory.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 In fairness, Claridge has genuinely embarrassed himself on this thread.
Frank to be Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 In fairness, Claridge has genuinely embarrassed himself on this thread. I don't agree with his politics but the personal abuse on both sides has been deeply unpleasant and unnecessary.
Claridge Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 In fairness, Claridge has genuinely embarrassed himself on this thread. I have played Devil's advocate with some comments, but the degree to which the 'left' loves to patronise people with less education than themselves is genuinely embarrassing. One of the main reasons why people no longer trust Labour is because of this attitude within the party and some of its supporters. The 'we know' best attitude which prevails amongst commentators on this topic reinforces this. The labour party needs to find real working class people who voters can identify with or their finished. None of the leadership candidates seem remotely credible in this respect to me, but perhaps people are desperate for a Cooper or Corbyn to galvanise the left and march into power in 2020.

Seems to me both the "left" and the "right" have the attitude that they know best and patronise the others.

No, playing devils advocate involves making reasonable arguments that they disagree with in an attempt to take the argument apart. What you've done is post utter tripe.

What you've done is post utter tripe. You are welcome to your opinion and I value it greatly although I think you under estimate the silent majority who agree with right wing views. Doctors are always correct though so although I won't like it , I shall prepare for a labour victory in 2020.Ps - I apologise for any grammatical errors in the above post.fat thumbs, small screen ,left school at 16,EAL student sure you all understand.xx
johnny the fox Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 looks like we are about to witness history, the decline of the labour party as a mass movement for working people .. it has been shat on by miliband and is about to be shoveled up by corbyn and dreamers.. the disconnect of understanding between the aspiring working class and the islington theorists backed by clueless union bosses is almost a shakespearean tragedy... I take no pleasure in it..its not good for the body politic.
