sylofox Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 So Burnley have gone after doing us a huge favour. Yes it is in our hands but they have given us breathing space. I do feel a little sorry for them as they have helped us and had no bearing on our fete yet they have still dropped. So tomorrow the second place can be filled QPR. So bets on Hull or Newcastle for the third spot? Thinking us and Blunderland will be happy for a point next Saturday and that will praps keep us both up. Thoughts?
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 May 2015 Posted 9 May 2015 Its hard to know. QPR will be gone tomorrow. If we can beat Sunderland, I think it will be them with Arsenal left to play. Could also be Hull. They have two very tough games.

We are still saying the job isn't done (Which it isn't) and we are still in (slight) danger, well Sunderland are a point worse off than us with ourselves, Arsenal and Chelsea left to play, with all due respect they are gonna struggle to get alot out of the Arsenal and Chelsea games, they might get a point but i'd say that is optimistic - I'd say the same if it were us. Therefore their last chance of getting a win, getting 3 points, taking a huge step to their survival would be against us. Likewise we'll be wanting to get the win a seal our safety. That said we'd take and would be happy with a draw next week (Well I think I would anyway). Question - Obviously dependant on other results can we be safe with a draw next week? Or is the only way to be safe next week is for us to win and results to go our way?

And Manure away could be another surprise. I wouldn't put it past Hull to get zero points or all 6.

The Sunderland game is MASSIVE, for both teams, and a win either way, will bring salvation, possibly. With both of us winning yesterday, confidence should be high in both camps, so we need to play out of our skins, and be technically better. A very close call, and we should be happier with a draw, than they will be. The game will not be one for the faint hearted!

Funny that Sunderland have to play the 4 most in form teams in the league in their last 4 games. Sadly they've beaten one of them already.
