Foxymcoxy Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 I take it maths is/was not your strong point at school/ college? Hull could easily beat Spurs 2 0 this weekend. We could quite easily lose 2 0 at Sunderland. Therefore this weekend Hull would go above us on goal difference. Newcastle I agree are poor but they will win this weekend at a very poor Qpr who are in turmoil. Therefore, we would be in the bottom three going into the last game of the season. Thanks for the advice I have already put £20 on us at like you say silly odds so if the worse does happen I would be quids in. Note. I don't want the bet to come in but bookies are stupid at times. This is too perfect for me not to point out that I have a 1st class degree in Mathematics Doesn't have anything to do with what I said though...
Oxfordfox83 Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 I think there's a gap between quite good and nearly 100%, but have moved to nearly 100% because, while we're not out of the woods by a long way, the players have convinced me that they have the stomach and skills for the fight. I'd fancy our chances against anyone in the league right now. Only takes a bad result at S'land and a freak win for Hull to be right back in trouble, but even then it's in our hands. I would now be genuinely surprised if we went down, rather than just gutted...
talking_goldfish Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Quite Good again, it's worked so far so why change it?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 I feel Defoe's a real threat Racist.
David Hankey Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 We've played against better strikers than the old man Defoe so there is no reason where Huth, Wasilewski & Morgan can't shut him out. It's in our hands, forget the rest and concentrate on what has brought us recent success.
Guest Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 That's 100% then?? No, it's not. 100% would mean that we are safe. its a must win game Agree 20,000%
bmt Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Anyone saying 50% or less: http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation Maybe worth sticking a tenner on and paying for (or at least paying most of) your season ticket if we go down.
Mark_from_USA Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 Blimey? I am getting attacked from somebody across the pond? Two things come out of Arizona queers and steers? Which one are you boy! Yes, your right we also have to play Qpr at home who are in turmoil and playing for pride so anything can happen. Add to that Newcastle are at home last game of the season to an even poorer West Ham who are also shocking and on the beach ala Spurs. It will go to the wire but believe me we certainly are nowhere near safe as everyone seems to think we are? Hey you set the tone of the discussion. I was just replying in kind. If you drive up Aylestone Road from King Power, the first little street on your left is Hughenden Drive. That's where my mother grew up, and where I spent tons of time as a kid. So Leicester is in my blood, more so than Arizona. There is an abundance of logic posted on these threads which spells out why the bookmaker's odd's are so long on our relegation. I have found the bookies are usually right (or they would be out of business). As stated before, my confidence is based on what I see on the pitch from the squad (I watch every game live here on NBC Sports). I think after Saturday it will be largely academic. If you want to hear more of what I have to say about Leicester, please check out the blog and podcast linked in my signature. I think you would enjoy it!
AyewJoking Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 i will do my usual and avoid the media until full time. Should i check Hull's result first, or ours?
nnfox Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 I've gone for quite good now as just one point from our last two games means that Hull would have to as a minimum, win one and draw one AND Newcastle would have to win one. Interestingly, if the Sunderland game doesn't go our way then Sunday's game between Man U and Arsenal becomes massively important for us. A win for Man U in that game would leave Arsenal needing a win (against Sunderland) to get 3rd spot and Man U needing a win against Hull to have a chance of 3rd. Neither will want to settle for 4th as they would have to start next season early with CL qualifiers. If Arsenal win though, then it is season over for both clubs. Come on Utd!

oxtonfox Posted 12 May 2015 Posted 12 May 2015 A few weeks back people would have given a right limb to go into final game with a chance of staying up with a win vs QPR. That may still be the case. It's a horrible thought but we could lose the last two and go down. Sunderland have all to play for and QPR no pressure so I think that is a possibility. Our players look and probably are knackered - not surprising given the efforts over the last month. Just hope we have one last performance in us. As others have said I can see Bruce getting a result at Spurs to keep the pressure on and Newcastle will win at least one - West Ham are awful at the moment with zip to play for. Hull can beat Man U with home support if they still have a chance in that last game. 50 : 50 for me though the odds really should be 25:75 in favour of survival. Remember this is Leicester - we don't do things simple.
Mark_w Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 You going to get the one game remaining thread up or what Renart?
ScouseFox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 So I can finally vote the option I've been wanting to vote for 7 weeks
