Who would want to work with a board that financially backed and supported a manager through a run of a terrible form that saw us rooted to the bottom of the table for over half the season.

 

The other side of the coin is Pearson is the most successful manager we have had since MON and they've still sacked him three times in four years.

 

Can't imagine what they'll be like with a shit manager. We could be the new Watford.

As long as they don't have any racist sex pests for offspring, which I think only rules out John Terry's dad, then they will probably get along fine with them.

 

I voted other: Craig Shakespeare, people want us to continue on the path we are on, the owners don't want Pearson causing more embarrassment, everyone is a winner.

 

Except Pearson, and his sex pest of a son, and his 2 mates.

 

Only to sack you when you've turned things round in spectacular fashion and refuse to let anyone know why.

First of all calm the **** down.

I'm saying it's not impossible as player / manager. He's at the end of his playing career, and being in charge of a PL club where is is revered by the fans is a different challenge which he may be interested in. Ffs!

Would take Lambert tbh, did a great job with Norwich, definitely can be successful with some actual backing and support

Time will tell, in their defence it's not their fault that those names are available. Just hope they've done this with somebody in mind

Also true..my fear is that if they decided to be rid of NP, instead of lining up a sucessor first and then shooting, they shot first and are now scrabbling around for a replacement

They were a long time ago though, since then he's proven he's not up to standard in the prem, villa have gone further and further backwards under him

Not backed it up in the Prem though unfortunately. Plays awful football and makes ridiculous excuses when his team loses. Think we can do a lot better

You do remember he has already once signed as a player for us last season!

All I'm saying is he might be more open to continuing at the club with the addition of a management opportunity in one of the best leagues in the world. That's not a completely ridiculous possibility is it?

You should really do a seperate poll for each. What people want and expect are very different. The poll tells us very little.

Are player/managers ever successful anymore? How do we even know he wants to be a manager let alone in England? We saw what a valuable player he was last season, I think he'd much rather play, and only play. I'm not saying I wouldn't like him to manage us one day but it's just so unlikely.

Got Catania mid table in Serie A in his first season as a manager..Went on to Fiorentina and took them to 4th place in 2013/14/15 plus a Copa Italia Final and a Europa League S/F...Played some decent attacking stuff too.

His reward was to be sacked last month...Currently unemployed, has some knowledge of the PL, (Fulham), and is well regarded!

Ah decent, cheers. I thought you said well retarded lol
