Hack Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 No appointment by the end of the week we are in deep poo poo. Absolute rubbish. Grow up. Do you want us to rush this decision? You have no idea who is available or interested and how long the interview process will take. Have you every had to hire anyone especially at a senior level? It just does not happen in a few days especially if you want to do a thorough process. Let's hope our owners and management are taking their time and get the right guy on the right contract.
Foreverfox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 While it is frustrating and not ideal, I would much prefer us to take our time and make sure we are getting the right man in charge. Even if that means waiting another week or two. OK I agree this is not an ideal situation but now is not the time rush. We have good coaching staff in the background to hold the fort till the right man is in place. The owners have given me no reason to doubt there judgement in the time they have been here so be patient and keep the faith. Whoever gets it we as a club need to be right behind the new man and the team and get off to a great start just like last year. A new chapter is about to begin, what a fantastic ride we have had as Leicester fans in the last few years. LOVE IT.
Guest MattP Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Whilst obviously I still think we should have kept the right man in charge by not sacking him, I do agree with some of the above comments. You shouldn't rush decisions like this, it's clearly a ridiculous time to trying to find a new manager but you don't just jump in and employ the first half decent name who wants the job. Survivial just has to be the aim again this season now after upheavel.

I read an article about Southampton a while back which stated 'we are always looking at managers just in case anything happens'. Why didn't we have that same policy in place? It seems like they sacked Pearson and then began to search the market for ideal candidates. The longer it goes on, the more I think we are going to be disappointed with who the Manager is going to be... I.e Big Sam, Lennon, Cotteril... Even Ranieri & O'Neil wouldn't fill me with confidence. I have my heart set on Klopp so I will be disappointed regardless.

People shouldn't be surprised, we've done this before and we'll do it again.
DazzaLCFC Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 the antipodean lifestyle makes it hard to keep up with events......Klopp would be awesome, no reason why not. I think we will all be disappointed though.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 8 July 2015 Author Posted 8 July 2015 Sounds link we have approached Hiddink to overlook a younger manager. Apparently a strong source said he rejected the offer. Guus Hiddink is not interested in the Leicester City job, according to reports in Holland. Dutch football website Voetbal International are claiming that the Leicester City owners must continue their search for a new manager, with Hiddink uninsterested in joining the club. The publication continue adding that Hiddink may now consider retirement. It was revealed this morning that Leicester City had offered the 68-year old a supervisory role at the club, however if reports in Holland are to be believed, the former Chelsea man will not be joining Leicester City
ScouseFox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 this has been my favourite ever week as a leicester fan

Three weeks before opening day and not a chance for a new manager to place his ideas on the teams. When the owners sacked Pearson, they should have already started the shortlisting. Given he was sacked once, you'd think this process would have occurred And yes I'm in a workplace where my senior manager has left. Since then there's been no hint of appointment. This has led to one colleague leaving and another giving pay me more or leave ultimatum. Morale is at all time low. Now if we were aware interviews were happening, there would be more patience.
lgfualol Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 What a week indeed. By Friday we'll have a P.E teacher in charge of keeping us in the best league in the world.
Bagworthblue Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 i was gonna post the tumbleweed video again to mark day 3 but somehow the lack of activity today has been the most bizarre and active lack of activity i've ever experienced!!
Carlos88LCFC Posted 10 July 2015 Author Posted 10 July 2015 Well this week has not lived up to expectation as of yet...
st albans fox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Well this week has not lived up to expectation as of yet... Next week could be the same. apparently this is a terrible time to be looking for a new manager (re Matt above)??? please elaborate . When would there be a better one?
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 someone needs to post a 'fook all's gonna happen this week thread' next

Now if we were aware interviews were happening, there would be more patience Sorry to hear about your work place. But that does not mean the same at LCFC. Frankly the fact that none of the other staff have left in protest might also suggest that they support the decision of the management. The team will be fine. i am sure the management and ownership are talking to the players and staff to make sure they feel things are moving forward. No one wants to rush a decision and get it all wrong.
whitlock Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 This week could be a major boost or a major decline in the spirit within the club. Jurgen Klopp or Neil Lennon.... The difference in class is horrific. Anyone other than an absolute legend like Klopp or the Hiddink/Cambiasso partnership would be a step backwards IMO. Will Cambiasso sign for another year? Will we get Kante? Will we put an improved bid in for Charlie Austin? Will we hear any statement from Nigel Pearson regarding what REALLY happened for him to be sacked? Offfft What a week this is going to be!!! Jinxed it!
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Sod all. Roll on next week. sod that - I work like shite all week to get to the weekends!!!!
Wymsey Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Hope next week is a more settled and less confusing one.
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Hope next week is a more settled and less confusing one. I hope it's a new beginning with some kinda outcome so we can start arguing about who to sign again rather than who is gonna sign em
