We've been joking about it all day, but if you woke up in the morning to an article on the OS confirming Preki as manager, how would you react?

Would you be disappointed with the owners' strange decision to sack Nigel and implement a complete unknown in his stead?

Would you be genuinely intrigued at their obscure choice of manager and wait to see what would happen next on rollercoaster LCFC?

Would you be so outraged you could honestly see yourself taking time off from supporting the club?

Maybe you've become so enamoured with the man over the course of today's events that you'd secretly be pleased to see Preki run the club for a bit?

Or perhaps you'd be apoplectic and protest to remove the owners?

I'm interested to see what the general spread of opinion is on here...

I've made the poll multiple choice in case anyone feels their opinion spans multiple options.

I would choose Harry Redknapp over him, that's my opinion.

If any person in any way could offer up some argument as to why 'Preki' should be anywhere near this football club in any position from Chairman to coach to manager to kit boy I'd like to hear it, if there is any truth in this whatsoever we have become a total laughing stock and we'll deserve everything we get.

If they do this then it's time for Top and Vichai to go.

Intrigued.

Never seen his teams under him, and his management style.

Would absolutely love it if he did well like Pearson, but have severe doubts.

Get rid of the owners, but I would have voted for that after the Pearson decision anyway. At least this is better than them appointing another Sven who'd spunk millions up the wall, but be popular enough that the owners would hold onto support from the gullible City fans and run the club into the ground. At least this way the owners are going to make themselves absolutely loathed and we might just get rid of them before awful decisions destroy the football club. We might be able to survive on parachute payments and re-group in the Championship in a few years with new owners and a competent manager.

Edit: Wouldn't take it out on Preki though and wouldn't be particularly keen on others doing it, the owners would be responsible for any backwards movement after these decisions.

The basis for my post Pearson optimism was largely on the basis that i believe Hiddink or Ranieri would improve the club, ofthat im almost certain.

But Preki?

If we are banding about fees of 10 mil plus for players, im sure we could nab a manager in work. And one that would come with a decent list of credentials.

This guy could be the next Christian Gross or Alain Perrin. But worse.

I'd support the new manager but he'll have to impress me quickly for me not wanting a change. It does depend on the style of football he plays which I have no clue about.

This is more or less where I stand too.  I'd be severely disappointed to see Nige replaced with him, but with such little knowledge of the guy I'd feel dutybound to take a proper look at him before finalising my opinion.  With that in mind I've made the poll multiple choice since my pov clearly spans two of the options, and I doubt I'm the only one.

If he is to be the new manager though, he has to be given a chance.

Launch a wrecking bar into the main rotor of the owner's helicopter next time they're airborne so something so ridiculous never happens again. The Preki chat was hilarious but if we actually install this absolute nobody as our manager, you've really got to question what the hell the Thais are up to.

I'd be disappointed that we didn't sign him back in January when we still had time to win the league.

I would be totally shocked to see Preki as City manager..as assistant to Bob Bradley who he worked with @ Chivas USA more likely.

What's their style of management, if you know?

Looking at Preki's record it generally revolves around losing matches.

I'd struggle to care for City with the current owners at the helm if we'd binned off one of our (let's be honest, modestly sized) club's best ever managers to have some no-mark take the gig.

Even without blue tinted specs it's a hugely attractive job. A good, settled squad, fanbase, facilities, budget - all in one of the world's biggest leagues. The owners aren't short of a few quid and it's humiliating to see the bookies lists (I know they aren't indicative of the Thai's targets) of candidates. Pearson shouldn't have been sacked but this whole situation could be used as a springboard to bring in a really promising, exciting coach propell us to that 'next level' everyone raves about, which I assume is establishing ourselves in this division and playing some tidy stuff doing so. All the options we've been linked with are uninspiring and cheap.

The worst thing about the rumours about this Sacramento ballbag is it's got that crusty old gooch Mandaric written all over it and the Thais (since rehiring Pearson in 2011) before last week had been the antithesis of what his reign was about.

At the moment it's impossible not to feel like the club is regressing and no appointment has even been made yet. It's a bizarre feeling. If you'd have told me after Kramaric hit the fifth against QPR we'd be looking at a situation like this before July I'd have done a shit on your doorstep.
