What's wrong with it? Simply, if they don't want their plane/ helicopter tracking they can turn that function off.

Not true, the aircraft are tracked in one of 3 ways depending on the type of transponder that is fitted. You are not allowed to turn of your transponder whilst in controlled airspace.

These apps are not allowed to display certain aircraft, ie Air Force One etc

I would say it's fair game no real difference to someone saying they saw 'a player/manager/owner in Morrisons although a lot more accurate/believable re location if total guess work on their intent.
