They go to Dubai all the time for Polo... We've been trough this.... Interesting though they never ever put the destination on their flights normally.

If anyone is bored I'm coming home on zb 909 tomorrow.

On the way here I used the gps on my phone to track the course, altitude and speed !!

All good clean geeky fun.

Especially for someone sat on a hill with a surface to air missile launcher.

Doesn't seem to be heading to dubai it's heading the wrong course. When it flew to Austria once it was chartered to Poland if i recall and just flew over.

I've been using plane finder and flight radar for a few years now. It's amazing. As a kid I used to look up at aeroplane trails in the sky and wonder "I wonder where that is going?". Now, I can just point my phone at it and find out what aircraft it is, which airline, how many seats, origin, destination and a load of other useless information.

How do you get a GPS signal on a plane? I've had mine plastered to the window and never get a sniff of a signal.

I don't think they have a choice? Even the president of the USA has to file flight plans.

Well they do have to come this week at some point but to arrive on Monday must mean they have stuff to do early in the week ........

they wouldn't usually be around for a transfer ? Maybe the polo ponies need some personal attention!

Got a maps app and a speed and altitude app.

Just stuck it near the window and it worked. It entertained the bloke in the seat behind too.

What phone you got?

I presume we're waiting for g-lcfc to hit the air?

it might not unless its meeting someone at an aiport. thats what they did with claudio. My phone should hopefully go off for the chopper but can be a bit spotty on the work wifi..

on that note i best get some work done!
