Very well said. Completely agree here and that is why are small country is not coping with an ever increasing population. But we're called racists if we protest.

My wife is an immigrant and believe it or not she was not handed a job and a house and benefits when she came here.

Just like most immigrants she works hard and pays her taxes.

...also she had no recourse to public funds stamped in her passport.

Its thick twats like you who believe what you read and stir each others insecurities that make me cringe.

The red tops that you take as gospel have an agenda and it saddens me to think that so many people fall for it.

Lucky for you you were born in a counrty where you can sit on your arse in judgement of other human beings.

Well said and FairPlay to you. Most people are so uneducated and have this stupid attitude against immigrants.

We don't realise how LUCKY we are to be born and raised in a developed strong country like the one we live in. This is why we spend time debating about football issues rather than life and death in war torn or poorly developed countries.

Just cos we were born here doesn't mean we deserve better than the next human being

How can he not get a permit. 20years old with about ten caps for Ghana already and playing for a European side. Clearly not believed to be able 'to improve the standard of the premier league significantly' which I believe is the criteria. Yet Chelsea can sign Kenedy from Brazil and he gets a permit?

they recently changed the requirements I think and I don't believe kramaric will have worked in our favour. If we are still top half come January and he plays all ghana's games between now and then, we might get an appeal through.

More info here re kenedy. Seems criteria are well set out and we should have been able to work out whether we would get a work permit before we embarked on spending time and money of the deal.

Yeah very true. It's just become a bit stricter. Suppose we can't complain too much, but the Kenedy signing for me at Chelsea doesn't match the below article's criteria for me.

Juventus have just bought midfielder Mario Lamina from Marseille. Kind of opens the door for Amartey there...

Posted

Indeed. Reports in L'Equipe are now stating that Copenhagen have accepted an offer for Amartey from Marseille, but on condition that he is loaned back to them until the start of the January transfer window. The deal is virtually done.

Posted

We're not going to spend £5-6 mil to then send the player out on loan, we don't have that kind of resources.

Besides, live reports say he's currently undergoing a medical at Marseille in a deal worth £5.9mil.

Excellent deal for Copenhagen, even if they have to hand over about a quarter of it to Djurgården.

Can't we just smuggle him in a back of a lorry somehow ..........

Or in the wheel hub of Top's plane.

Amartey to Marseille deal off!! Maybe we'll be back in for him in January.

Yes and he may have played within Ghana's next five games possibly working in our favour by Jan...

Solbakken is speaking on tele now.

He says the deal was called off as it "suited all parties best that he stays at Copenhagen at least until January".

Solbakken: "Things change quickly on a day like today [final day of Danish transfer window]. In the end it didn't work out for all parties."
When asked if it fell through because of financial details, he answered: "Without going into details, it wasn't just one factor [that lead to the deal collapsing]."

Finally the reporter asked: "Did you receive a DKK 60 million [£5.9m] bid for him?"

Solbakken: "From whom?"

Reporter: "From Marseille of course!"

Solbakken: "Do they play in the Premier League?"

Reporter: "Are you saying a team from England came in for him today? Was it West Ham?"

Solbakken (laughs): "Now it's all getting very speculative."
