Claridge Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 That's how you were programmed to think; from now on, even though you might consciously reject it, in your deep sub-conscious you will link Ed Balls with IS. You are now part of the Matrix. There is no longer any such thing as 'truth', only what your Masters want you to believe is truth. Very harsh on the Jihadis to compare them to Ed Balls.
The Railway Man Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 Poor bastard, it's bad enough everyone knowing your a member of ISIS without also knowing you once hung out with Ed Balls.

Rincewind Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 IDS blames Ed Milliband for the rise in unemployment earlier this year. A RISE in unemployment earlier this year was the fault of Ed Miliband, Iain Duncan Smith brazenly claimed yesterday. The Work and Pensions Secretary said that polls predicting a Labour win at the general election had hit market confidence in the first part of 2015. He made the claim when challenged by his Labour shadow Stephen Timms in the Commons. Mr Timms accused the Tory minister of not doing enough to tackle youth unemployment. “The figures you talked about going up, in a sense I am not surprised — these cover the period in the run to the last election and given what the opposition were saying and looking at the polls, as some of the businesses may have done, it’s no surprise to me they may have held back,” IDS replied. Okay it was not directly aimed at Milliband but he still shifted the blame and again refuses to take responsibility.

Okay it was not directly aimed at Milliband but he still shifted the blame and again refuses to take responsibility. Seems fair comment, a lot of people were nervous about the prospect of a change in Government and what that might mean for Business. I sympathise with the youth, it is very difficult when there are more experience people competing with you, which is the case when unemployment is higher.

Wymsey Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 We need an 'entrepreneur' programme for the youth, for both economic and employment growth. There appears to be too much focus on Apprenticeships (with the government going on and on about why it's the best career route to go for), and less on growing future business owners etc at the moment. http://www.theguardian.com/small-business-network/2015/sep/08/bitcoin-young-entrepreneur-university-funding

Can you teach entrepreneurship?
Sir Fynwy Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 Hmm. Can you teach entrepreneurship? You can teach people how to access funding to put ideas into practice but you also need to have streams of funding willing to take reasonable risks.

You can't blame governments for lazy arses who expect everything for nothing. Many businesses are desperate for young apprentices. My uncle has had people answering phones whilst on interview for apprenticeships at his building company. Parents phone in with excuses for their children or complain that the works too hard for them. At least IDS is trying to change this culture and although it won't happen overnight , it make sense to try, as the problem of how to deal with some lazy arsed teens/adults won't be changed be drippy leftie solutions. FFS they even tried paying students to go to college a few years back .There should be no cash benefits for able bodied young people in this country

To blame the shortcomings of the last 36 years on the left when we have had a succession of right wing Governments in power during that time seems somewhat twisted logic to me.
Rincewind Posted 8 September 2015 Posted 8 September 2015 They seem to have infected FoxesTalk too. Is there an antidote?
