Bagworthblue Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 ok so for 5 years, I have been going to club Alibey in turkey because I can't seem to find an all inclusive to match it. But we fancy a change. my son is 8 now here is the key criteria - Does anyone know of a place in any country with good July weather that matches the main criteria we like. the main points in bold - large green complex - lots of walkways and trees etc so you don't feel penned in to a small hotel - outdoor dining options - or part covered where you can smoke (if we haven't managed to give up by then) - no requirement for long trousers at dinner* - 24 hour all inclusive or at least until midnight - numerous bars / eating places incl in the AI - pref a waterpark at the hotel with AI included but if not some slides on the main pools - not baby slides but not necessarily huge ones - somewhere to walk - some shops within minutes of hotel - outdoor entertainment at night pref where you can sit at a table with a drink and not in an ampitheatre etc - pref lots of low rise (2 or 3 story) room blocks rather than a high rise hotel* - ice creams available all day on the AI not bothered if rooms aren't great as all we do is sleep in them! nb if all the above is your cup of tea, recommend Alibey and not many brits go there for some reason. otherwise it's back to AliBey for us :-)
VLC86 Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 Syria is pretty nice. In all seriousness depends how much you want to spend etc. I have been to Sharm a couple of times and last time I stayed in the Hilton Waterfalls which was pretty decent. It had about 4 restaurants and one of which was outdoors, no waterpark but it had 3/4 pools however why anyone would swim in them over the sea I will never know as the snorkelling is amazing there. Plenty of other places in Sharm as well that would meet your criteria and you are guarenteed the weather.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 Sherwood Breezes in Antalya - Cheap, luxurious and has the best entertainment program I've seen.
Lionator Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 Go to Iceland. Beautiful country. An 8 year old would appreciate it.

Can you go for a gander outside the hotel etc? As for snorkelling, I nearly died last time I tried - something about not being able to just breathe through my mouth and having my nose blocked off made it a bit difficult :-) My son is a bit of a wimp when it comes to salt water hence pools beat the sea for the time being until he mans up a bit
Bagworthblue Posted 21 August 2015 Author Posted 21 August 2015 Sherwood Breezes in Antalya - Cheap, luxurious and has the best entertainment program I've seen. love Antalya as that's the region we go to every year but it Breezes looks really nice but does look like it's a bit high rise and indoor eating?? Just not keen on either. odd I know as the room look nicer than where we usually go etc and most people would have that higher up their preference list than some of the things important to us. check out Alibey - it's inexpensive yet spreads out meaning a 20 minute walk in any direction before you get to the edge of it and we kinda like that. we also sit and eat outdoor by the sea every night and the cocktails flow through the day and night as does the ice cream which keeps my lad quiet. maybe we just found our place and will end up going back for year number 6

If I am honest though I found going into the main areas there such as sharks bay etc to be a bit of a nightmare because people will try to rip you off left right and centre. As for nearly dying while snorkelling, its all part of the fun. And as for your son, throw him off the end of a jetty and tell him to grow a pair .
Ross-Kemp Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 Check the Thompson village in Sarigarme (Dalaman).
Webbo Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 We went here a few years ago. http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/holiday/accommodation/overview/Kusadasi/Aqua-Fantasy-Aquapark-Hotel-&-Spa-030078 Quite near to Ephesus too.
Bagworthblue Posted 21 August 2015 Author Posted 21 August 2015 Check the Thompson village in Sarigarme (Dalaman). went there 6 years ago - loved it but then they split it into 2 hotels - still a option but if you like it there you will like alibey more :-)

Bagworthblue Posted 21 August 2015 Author Posted 21 August 2015 centerparcs bro can you get flights there from east mids? :-) nah too bloody expensive. seriously 2 weeks all Incl in Turkey works out way cheaper than 2 weeks at Centre P :-)
deejdeej Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Went to a hotel when I was younger, best holiday I've had. Recently looked at it again to find its got water park in the complex. It's called Sirenis Seaview country club in Ibiza. Playa den Bossa I think. Seems to fit a lot of your criteria and although it's been years I'd definitely recommend it.
Grandad. Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Crown Paradise in Cancun, Mexico. Been there twice and as recent as last August, nicest hotel I have ever stopped in, big complex with 7 restaurants from around the world, 24 hour All-Inclusive, nightclub in the hotel, adult bar, brilliant family entertainment at night and throughout the day, lots of pools, on the beach, 20 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from downtown Cancun, friendly staff, spacious room with air-con, satellite TV, available WI-FI and loads more I have probably missed. Seriously have a look at this hotel on the internet, absolutely amazing.
