Foxhateram Posted 5 September 2015 Share Posted 5 September 2015 Yep the Ai adaptations are pretty good. They have night vision goggles now and fire these light bombs that fill a huge area! They also change there path every few minutes so it's really tough to wait for them and then attack. Really tough game, takes a lot of patience. I agree that you will need alot of patience to play this game. Can only imagine it gets harder along the way. Can't wait to get back into it. Legend_in_blue Posted 5 September 2015 Share Posted 5 September 2015 Didn't realise this until earlier today but it is possible to take a shower on Mother Base. I had flies buzzing around my head on a couple of missions which became irritating after a while - the sound was annoying. Also, once you start upgrading the helicopter, alterations can be made on the customisations screen from the idroid, not the loadout screen. Took me a while to find it. Legend_in_blue Posted 6 September 2015 Share Posted 6 September 2015 I like how the missions themselves are quite varied, forcing you to adapt your approach as necessary. Last night I took out a convoy of tanks, and a colonel. First scouted out the small mountainside village, saved a prisoner, made use of a sandstorm and found the intel, legged it down the road a fair way, found a high position and took out the tanks as they rolled on by. Great stuff. It's gameplay like this that forces you to make a split second decision based on an event you couldn't have foreseen which makes it a masterpiece in the stealth genre as did Alien Isolation in the survival horror genre. Good game but so far cant see how people are claiming it to be the greatest game ever made. One thing i do hate is the running and how the screen moves around when you're running. Really annoying. One thing i do love is the fact that you really do have to scout a base with the binoculars. On Far Cry u cud tag every enemy in about 10 seconds. On this you could spend an hour just tagging people. Then you still have to sneak around as you can easily miss someone which if caught ruins your whole stealth plan. One thing i just cant get bored of is the recruiting system. I laugh everytime i do it Just got my firsy sniper rifle but i want a silencer/Tranquilser on it. Question. (might be really easy and im just thick) How do you go back to mother base? Get picked up in the helicopter and then in the menu with the map go to the right sub menu and the option should be there while your in the helicopter. Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 8 September 2015 Share Posted 8 September 2015 Just read on IGN that if you take Quiet with you as your buddy on missions 29 or 42 then there is a chance (don't know how likely) that it will corrupt your save file. Was working my way around picking off people when i got stuck. Was thinking wat i could use as a distraction when a sandstorm came in. Perfect. Took out the awkwardly placed guard under a blanket of sand which let me finish off the rest with ease. Enjoying the game especially now i got the dog. I love dogs.
