CityBoyOf95 Posted 2 October 2015 Posted 2 October 2015 Does anybody know whether Leicester City released the 2006-2007 DVD season review or the 12-13 Season Review? I can't find them any where. I've had a season ticket for 11 years and those are the only two missing from my collection. Nostalgia and al that.
Footballwipe Posted 2 October 2015 Posted 2 October 2015 No Both had production codes but both were never produced. In fact, the artwork for 06/07 is on Amazon, as you can (and probably have already seen.) Each DVD produced by PDI Media from 2003-2013 had a production code which you can see on the spine of the DVD cover 2006/07 was production code LCDVD10. 12/13 had a production code and was LCDVD22. There was, obviously, no 2007/08 season review either. Why do I know this? Because I'm a certified sad bastard. Still, someone needs to know it

filbertstreet Posted 2 October 2015 Posted 2 October 2015 Have you ever seen daylight? What DVD is that
ALC Fox Posted 2 October 2015 Posted 2 October 2015 I'd like to know how much the person who designed that artwork was paid for the job. My feeling is not a lot.
VLC86 Posted 2 October 2015 Posted 2 October 2015 What DVD is that The less gay version of Twighlight, still very gay mind. I'd like to know how much the person who designed that artwork was paid for the job. My feeling is not a lot. You seriously don't understand how difficult it was to find a picture of our players celebrating a goal that season do you?
Uncle Monty Posted 2 October 2015 Posted 2 October 2015 What DVD is that A Sly Stallone underground disaster flick. An underrated film, with an early Viggo Mortesan appearance.
CityBoyOf95 Posted 3 October 2015 Author Posted 3 October 2015 I see, so is there anywhere I can see the highlights of the games? Particularly the 2007 season.
JerryLundegaard Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Wasn't there a free DVD giveaway on the last day of 07/08 that included the highlights from 06/07?
DB11 Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 Wasn't there a free DVD giveaway on the last day of 07/08 that included the highlights from 06/07? A season review of the year we got relegated? I'd be surprised if they made one for that having not made one for other years I've not got time to check though
JerryLundegaard Posted 3 October 2015 Posted 3 October 2015 A season review of the year we got relegated? I'd be surprised if they made one for that having not made one for other years I've not got time to check though Oh yeah durr I'm crap with remembering years. Possibly then there was a free giveaway at the end of 08/09 which included 07/08 - think that's what I was thinking of.
Guest Posted 4 October 2015 Posted 4 October 2015 Not exactly an important thing but youd think they'd make a season review DVD after every season irrespective of how bad it goes. Sales might not be great but there are definitely some completists (or as the more spiteful amongst you might put it, saddos!) out there who would buy them.
Footballwipe Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Have you ever seen daylight? I do, I let the daylight roll in while I become an ultimate geeky nerd and know these things For example, I know that from 1991-1999 we used VSI as our official producer of season reviews. They are responsible for the electro music you all remember from those misty-eyed mid 1990's reviews. The man who narrated our reviews did loads of narration for other teams reviews. They even used the same music and graphics as well, we got the cut and paste package clearly! Then we moved to Carlton from 2000-2003. This was a moderate era. Dennis Coath, the former ITV Central News sport reporter, did the narration and some commentary for 99/00 on a half-decent season review, though 2000/01 was a terrible effort. Long, boring interviews with Taylor and Savage splitting up the action, and dubbing crowd noise over goals that we scored. Probably the worst thing you can do imo on football footage. Making it sound like we'd scored at Wembley when we were at Filbert Street. Poor. They did at least introduce new arrivals. 2001/02 was clever. Raced through the disaster of a season and tied it together with the ground move. Then from 2004-2013 we had PDI Media, who produced all of the medicore reviews and compliations during that decade. They also had god awful and uninteresting dubbed commentary on matches, too. I think it got to about 2010 or 2011 and they gave up rpoducing a general DVD because it became desperate. "Kings of the Midlands" "250 greatest goals" were just rehashing the same games over and over. Now the reviews are produced in-house by LCFC, which makes sense considering their resources. I know you're all FASCINATED, I'm here all week You can even watch them all back yourself if you wanted to on my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5mRPyTOM1gRVg-2pEgg8dw (COUGH COUGH COUGH)

Is there a way I could somehow get them onto my ipad without having to be connected to the internet / on youtube itself? The only way I know is to download a piece of kit called JDownloader, copy the link, it'll let you DL the video and you can upload from there. But that seems awfully convoluted!

There are loads of 3rd party "Video Downloader" apps in the official App Store that will enable you to do this quite easily
ramboacdc Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 they did a season review dvd for the year we got relegated from the prem and on the back it said something like "if only games lasted 85 minutes eh?" really summed up our season.
