HighPeakFox Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Guppy was crap. Most overrated player ever to wear a Leicester shirt. Schlupp and Fuchs are both much much better! I've seen some poor posts, but this ranks right down there
Frank to be Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Since Ranieri has taken over and shown his class maybe the more interesting question would now be, who would be in charge of the squad? Ranieri and MON looking like the best managers we've had in decades by some distance, but who would be the best for this squad? I'd go for Ranieri because I think we play much better football that's just as, and maybe more effective than MON.
filbertstreet Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 had a fish called steve the guppy, it died
Oxfordfox83 Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 Guppy was crap. Most overrated player ever to wear a Leicester shirt. Schlupp and Fuchs are both much much better! This was said a lot at the time. Only by fcukwits, obviously, but it's not brown tinted glasses. He used to get dog's abuse from morons at Filbo too. God alone knows why they bother watching football. Presumably they are the same people who knew Vardy, King, Drinkwater, Schlupp etc would never cut it in the Premier League. Must love being right so much...

Yes, definitely take the guy who's won 4 league matches so far over the guy who won two trophies with us.
Freesolo Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Neil lennon, Matty Elliott possibly Kasey Keller and Muzzy Izzett are the only players i think could fit into are squad with the counter attacking style we play now
Frank to be Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Yes, definitely take the guy who's won 4 league matches so far over the guy who won two trophies with us. This isn't Ranieri's first job
Oxfordfox83 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Neil lennon, Matty Elliott possibly Kasey Keller and Muzzy Izzett are the only players i think could fit into are squad with the counter attacking style we play now Tags for Wes/Huth, Heskey for Oka, Kaamark for Simpson(obviously) and maybe Guppy for LW would walk into our starting line up now. Guppy's only a maybe as we have so much talent out wide and we're pretty speed focused nowadays.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Absolute bullshittery! Guppy was clas and consistant. I'm sorry but As much as I like Jeff he's not in the same league as Guppy. Completely agree. Loved Guppy. I'm still yet to see a full back with a better cross.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I'd put Gary Parker into just about any of City's top sides. He was a supreme passer of the ball and the supply line for so many City goals.
inckley fox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 This isn't Ranieri's first job Would your all-time dream Leicester side have Sven as manager then? Inler in midfield? Allan Clarke up front?
Freesolo Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Completely agree. Loved Guppy. I'm still yet to see a full back with a better cross. Guppy was never a full back

filbertway Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Flowers Kaamark Morgan Elliott Fuchs Mahrez Izzet Kanté Guppy Vardy Heskey If i'm going 4 4 2.
ithuriel Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Different teams for different eras, unlike the quality teams of most previous great eras the team of the mid to late 90s were in three cup finals and won two of them, losing one to Spurs and had four top ten finishes, playing against quality players like Bergkamp and Cantona. This current team is on the verge of something special too, to try to mix the two just would not really work but, Keller . Kamaark Morgan Elliott Fuuchs . Mahrez Izzet Kante Guppy . Vardy Heskey . Just realised, almost identical to the above post apart from Kasey
HereBeFoxes Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 He's going to struggle to get in the midfield starting line up ahead of the above suggestions, but I'd like a place for Zagorakis on the bench - always liked him.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Flowers Kaamark Morgan Elliott Fuchs Mahrez Izzet Kanté Guppy Vardy Heskey If i'm going 4 4 2. Yep that's exactly how I'd pick it too
