Keep calm and remember we're not a selling club

Why do we need to sell....unless the sort of silly money Madrid offered for Bale is on the table? Even then Bale had European experience, do we seriously have a player of that quality?

Needing to sell and having to sell aren't the same thing. Thanks to the new TV deal most Premier league sides don't need to sell, sadly they have to sell because players want to move and other clubs want their players. Southampton didn't need to sell their players but they had to because 'bigger' clubs wanted them.

Just had to put this somewhere. Possibly wins the most ridiculous article of the year award.

I know. As if Vardy is gonna go and play second fiddle to Benzema!

Everyone has a price and the only two teams in the prem who i dont think have ever sold out are Chelsea and Man City and i suspect the former will do pretty soon.

IF some one comes in with a ludicrous bid for Mahrez or Vardy or Kante there is a good chance they will be sold.

In addition i am pretty sure that if top top teams come in for our players they could hardly be blamed for wanting to better themselves.

Being linked with the giants is an accolade. Of course with it comes some fear that we might lose a player but there is no reason to dwell on it. Transfer rumors mean we're playing well and that's the most important thing of all.

According to that article would have been a  backup to their first  choice striker. A bench warmer. Would Vardy want that?

My phone alarm is going off. The Post Horn Gallop.

It all ended on that day.

MON realised the limitations of the club and left for Celtic in the summer. MON then takes Lennon with him leaving us without either the focal point of attack or plug in midfield.

I don't think the loss of Vardy would be as catastrophic as that. Would still be a major loss though

There are no medium/long term limitations to this club. What matters is the ambition or otherwise of the owners. If we have long-term contracted players we can accept a price for them or otherwise unless we've been daft enough to allow an inappropriate release clause. I'm sure there will be lots of interest and activity next summer so it's up to us to a) Be in a position to offer an exciting future to people and b) To have as many contingency plans in place as we can for various possibilities. Nothing we do should do anything but enable us to move further forward. It's high time we shed the parochial image once and for all, because it no longer applies.

If they were offering him an extra £20k a week? Possibly.

If we get a big offer and so does he, he'll go.

That's football, especially in the Premiership.

I hope we don't and he don't. I'd hate to lose Vardy.

Maybe or maybe not. None of us really know.

Agreed but I don't see the goals pouring in from Okazaki if Vardy were to leave. ;)

I cant think of any recent examples but it can take a while to find your feet in this league, okazaki might be dynamite next season.
