willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Alexis Sanchez has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for October, what a load of crap
ImBlue Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 top scorer and not won it in either month. Armchair gunners
Babylon Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 It's voted for by fans, it's nothing more than a prize for the best supported team... rendering the whole thing a load of shit.
DB11 Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 That's not the actual one, is it? The fans one must be different to the actual one.
Leicester_Numan Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 It just means that more Arsenal fans voted than anyone else. It's pretty meaningless but I do actually expect Vardy to be robbed of the proper potm award again.
Stevosevic Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 THIS ISN'T THE ACTUAL PFA PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD! THE PROPER ONE IS DECIDED BY A PANEL!
Tuna Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 THIS ISN'T THE ACTUAL PFA PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD! THE PROPER ONE IS DECIDED BY A PANEL! OKAY THAT'S A RELIEF !!!!!!!!!!
MooseBreath Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Phew I don't think I could have carried on living if that was the real award
Babylon Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 THIS ISN'T THE ACTUAL PFA PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD! THE PROPER ONE IS DECIDED BY A PANEL! Is that the same panel that voted Ayew above Mahrez and Martial above Vardy the previous two months.
Stevosevic Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 OKAY THAT'S A RELIEF !!!!!!!!!! The caps were in tribute to the thread title.
jimmeh Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 The award is ridiculous anyway. How many defenders have won it since it began? Probably a handful at most. Player of the month shouldn't always be an attacking player
Stevosevic Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Is that the same panel that voted Ayew above Mahrez and Martial above Vardy the previous two months. Yes....no guarantee Vardy will win that one either
jimmeh Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Since it began in August 1994. Only 11 defenders have won the player of the month award. With the last 13 awards going to strikers. It might aswell just be called forward of the month.
jimmeh Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Tim flowers was last leicester player to win it in September 2000 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premier_League_Player_of_the_Month
CharlieCharles Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 All it is down to is fan base. Sanchez could of not played a single game this season and still would of been voted ahead of Vardy.
Babylon Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Thinking about it, this should be the third month in a row that we nailed the proper award.
Swiper Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 This is kind of like the NBA All-Star game over here. Players who haven't played for the entire season often run away with the vote because of who they are and what they've done in the past, not what they're currently doing. Oh well. Go on and win the Boot and stick it to all of 'em Vards.
Richmondfox Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 The fan vote is ridiculous, people will only vote if a payer from their team is in it and then the bigger team will get more votes. If Mahrez gets nominated he has the backing of the whole of Algeria/French Algerians if the LCFC Facebook is anything to go by.
sly1 Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Can't believe that vardy with no doubt should of got that.
Wymsey Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Can't believe that vardy with no doubt should of got that. I would. Like the Manager of the Month award, the Player one often has consequences in the player's performances shortly afterwards.
ThaiFox Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 To win, we need to be in competition with players from, Bournmouth, Watford, Swansea, Stoke and WBA! These votes are a complete waste of time.
Fox92 Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Letting fans vote via the internet and social media is a complete waste of time. The bigger clubs - Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool - are going to have more "fans" that will vote.
