Wymsey Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I know why the psychican I saw had a pencil sharpener on her desk. She wanted sharper readings.

Countryfox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I know why the psychican I saw had a pencil sharpener on her desk. She wanted sharper readings. You pair aren't taking this post seriously ... Shame on you.
Benguin Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I reluctantly paid for a reading about 5 years ago just because friends wanted to while we were out and didn't want to be that guy. Only cost £15 but I'd have probably been better off going to the homeless guy a few streets away and giving him the £15 to give me a reading. Leading questions, responses that could apply to almost anyone and enough incorrect answers so that even the stuff that was spot on would apply to the mathematical randomness rules. Unless you're doing it for the reasons I did, stay clear, biggest legal fraudsters the world has ever seen.

Countryfox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Hi All Met someone who really urged me to go and get a tarot reading and swore by one particular person. I'm not in to all that, but I did realise it was something I've never given any thought. I am unlikely to get any readings, but it did pique my interest since this chap who recommended it is someone I have a lot of respect for. He's an intelligent well qualified professional and very good at cutting through BS due to the nature of his job. A strange candidate to be in to it you might think. I certainly did. Anyone have any experience with these sorts of people / services / readings ? I always sort of dismissed it as guesswork and cliched props. Is it more mainstream than I thought? Anyone have experience and what do you make of it ? I'm not interested in anyone who hasn't tried the services out since ultimately you're likely to think exactly what I do now. I'm looking for input from those who have had readings in the past. I should have asked this chap if he booked in advance and used his full name And as for you ... give your head a shake and get back in the real world. I know there are some amazing things in this world that are beyond our comprehension, .... people who can communicate with the dead ... who knows ? .... but people that can see into the future ?!?!? ffs !! .... if they could really do that do you think they would be charging £15 and talking to you !! ... they would be telling governments what to do !! And ... when they tell you that you only have 2 months to live and are going to have a horrible death ... what you going to do then ? Steer clear. Put it out your mind. And get on with your life. And if you still want a reading .... I'll give you one. You're born, then one day .... you die. £15 please. What happens in the middle bit is entirely down to you.
Countryfox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 The crap I read (and post !) when I'm waiting to see if we have signed a player ...

Rincewind Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I think you have summed it up well. Deductions and reasoned guess work. A lot of people would not immediately think of this. They want to believe that we live in a mysterious world with unknown and unsolved events that give them a purpose for life and after. It is easier and more comforting than to think we are born live then die then eventually rot away to nothing. For many thinking that a loved one who has died is looking down on them giving approval to what they do or happy in the afterlife is reassuring. They want to hear that so are open to suggestion. Rather than being pschics these people are more like psychologists working on people's minds.
Countryfox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 we are born, live, then die, then eventually rot away to nothing. You're a happy little soul Rince !

Seriously though Rince some of these people are social vultures and can really mess peoples minds and lives up.
Rincewind Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Seriously though Rince some of these people are social vultures and can really mess peoples minds and lives up. True and I agree but it helps if the person they are targeting are susceptible to suggestion.
Countryfox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 True and I agree but it helps if the person they are targeting are susceptible to suggestion. ... and by the way, when we started this conversation you were talking to a lowly reserve player ... who is now, so I've noticed ... a FIRST TEAM player !!! Dr The Singh Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 She told my mrs that she would soon be getting a promotion at work and she did. That's about one of the only main things she was spot on with. But she did also say she would be pregnant soon as well, and two years down the line she is still not.I apologise for the pregnancy bit, I've been alittle busy, it may happen in a few months when I'm alittle less busy
Countryfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Preaching to the converted so you'd have been better off saving your exasperation and your keyboard ! Yes sorry TPH but perhaps it might stop someone else wasting their money.
Countryfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 We're sending you on loan to Nuneaton borough. Would rather go to Hoffenheim and join Krammy for a few nights out on the lash ....
