fans own pressure. Its a funny thing innit..!

I really dont think at this moment, that our players are feeling any pressure.

I believe they still go into games, with no high expectation.

The fans however total different thoughts.

When we are struggling or midtable, we are not looking to win every game.

Chasing points yes but more realistic and pragmatic to where the points could come from.

Winning the Championship, where we knew and felt most things will balance themselves out.

Now with top 4, and title of the PREMIER LEAGUE up for grabs its 10k x more stress,

taboo thoughts, not daring to peep above the sofa, worrying the wife with bouts of tears.

Look at the games posts from Liverpool and Man.city.Extasy, pride, fear to believe,

Old men acting like kids 1st waiting, then receiving that special xmas present.

Emotions spread like the sweets at a pik n mix. Over 30k fans begging to be pinched,

just to prove, they are not experiencing a weird dream in some induced coma, worried they

will wake up and find Pullis or Lennon, even worse both are really in charge,

and Ashley pulling the financial strings.

But, I say again but....Reality is stranger than fiction, we have dared to dream, fact so far

is delivering, for the first time in many a year, we are shaking on a pleasure plain never

before experienced, and wanting, needing, hoping, even arrogantly believing we must

win this or that game....or else.

The 'He who dares' scenario has landed at the KP.We want we need that win,

the pressure at the top is worse, fans posts only confirm it.

Where before the Rachels ,we knew would stay a dream, the countdown has started anew

and turning our fiction into reality because We can play and have 6 consonants with 3 vowels,

Look into Rachels eyes and tell everybody, I have...9.......

.........CHAMPIONS....

Its crazy we are top, we are breaking records, and reaching heights never thought possible...

and some fans still think we are doing things wrong....even that is a type of pressure..

I am spitting in the eye of the pressure-devil. One game at a time, loving the ride,

no preperation to hitch up a lynch mob, if its only top 6 or top 4.

Your "love" for Rachel, although understandable is bordering on the unhealthy.

Other than that then yes, the pressure is mind-blowing.

But then, give me more unbelievable moments like earler today when we are 3-0 up away from home at the Etihad.

Some things are just written, this group of players have taken football back from the money-spinners and played with a passion that gives it back to the fans.

I'll take whatever they give for the last 13 games, they've been KINGS for the first 25 !!

If the players aren't thinking of winning the title I'll eat my own head. Of course they are. They're human after all. Claudio said something brilliant earlier, he said "we don't HAVE to win the title" and it is true, I know this and the players will too. Before the season began we would have been happy to finish mid table and once again the players will have known this. When you spend your life being the son of a goalkeeping legend, an outcast Man United right back who dreamt of replacing Gary Neville, a centre back who thought he would retire as a Championship footballer, a tricky winger who has been rejected time and again by big clubs such as PSG only for Leicester to take a chance on him, another Man United outcast who would have hoped to make it at Old Trafford and replace Paul Scholes, a tenacious little Frenchman who worked his way from the lower leagues to become a world class midfielder, a man who was told he wasn't good enough for the club he has supported since he was a child and a man who was working in a factory whilst playing Sunday league football not so long ago. This creates more determination and hunger to succeed then possible for your average human such as an A list exotic footballer who has had it handed to him on a plate. A vast majority of our squad has worked their way to this opportunity from the very bottom and it is this very reason why we are succeeding and we WILL win the league.

To win leagues, you must win games.

And to win games, each must concentrate on his role.

What ifs, theoreticals, pressure, stress, distractions remove that concentration.

You know when Arsenal **** it up when it's looking good for them? They lose concentration.

We must not.

We must concentrate on the next game, then the next. Thirteen more times.

Anyone saying there's pressure on us is deluded.

The players have done well all season, copped with whatever 'pressure' has been thrown at us. There's more pressure on Man City & Arsenal to win it IMO as they're the 'big club's'.

No pressure here, we're just getting the job done as we go.

Coping really well with pressure and there not being any pressure are two completely different things...

I think us fans should just enjoy the ride. Heap no pressure on the players. Let the,meo what they do and whatever will be will be.

If we get frustrated because we aren't 3-0 up at home to Norwich after 50 minutes we probably will blow it.

We drew 0-0 at home to Bournemouth just over a month ago with a missed penalty. The world was about to end. But we dealt with it because there was no real pressure or expectation. We are now 5 points clear,

Have fun

The players celebrations after goal 2 and 3 were HUGE and showed and insight into the excitement they feel !

They are 100% focused on winning the league

They believe l00% they can win it

Nothing else matters right now !

Nothing

This team knows how to handle pressure. Nearly all of them were in "the great escape" last season, and many were in the Championship winning side.

Different situations, but lots of pressure and need to focus. They can handle it.

This topic was not directed towards the team, more towards the fans.

I love the posts (some very witty) from fans, who confess how stressed they have been

over match days, build-up...the game itself...the post match winding down.

With tongue in cheek, I was mentioning the feeling that comes from those posts.Trying to

compare the differences between fans nerves/stress level, on their thoughts on

their posts for 'must win periods/games ' when in relegation, midtable, top 8, or top 4 battles.

Some mentioned they feel more stress now dreaming of the title than anything else in the last 20 yrs.

The Rachel theme is not unhealthy but an observation/twist on what was already created.

My personal take, I get excited the adrenalin pegal goes up each match day , but I havent targetted

what I would find disappointing, or pressure situ as a fan. What ever happens its been a great season,

in 60yrs one of the best......The ride and view is marvellous...:)

riyad let slip in his post match interview that "we fight for the title". first time that's happened this season. it's on. they know it, we know it.

This season has been tremendous fun, it would be nice to get something tangible to remember it by and the players are probably thinking maybe but at present they will just be enjoying winning games.

If we are still top seven games from the end of the season, then I think they will start to feel the pressure a little but they have coped with pressure for two seasons already, gaining promotion and a miraculous survival struggle.
