The March Horses

CR said that he would talk about winning the title only if he sees "his horses" in March (in the last 100m sprint).

I think the man is very smart and wise in setting up both the right plan for his task and the right mentality and incentive for his players...

First, he spoke about 40pts which he and his players achieved in a timely brilliant manner, then spoked about another 40 (or 39pts) that would grant him a top4 spot. He also mentioned "The March Horses", that is if he sees his horses in March then he would definitely and seriously consider a title race.

March is just few weeks away and "our" horses (if you allow me to say so) or rather our foxes are in full swing .....

I think It would be just right to keep setting up objectives as steps one after the other... to help ease the pressure off the players and decorticate the task for the ultimate goal....

And the next step is March.... Looking to the 2 games or 3 after Arsenal and making sure the horses are there for the final sprint then setting up the best pole position for an exciting final 10 games run.

Not sure what's your final spring number of games is..... Whether it's 3, 5, 7 or 10, it is surely a breathtaking final countdown.

PS: it's 7am just woke up and I don't know what's got into me thinking about..... The March Horses :/ !! Am in deep Leicester problem!

Interestingly in horse racing March is a time when potential classic winning horses would really be starting to show their potential on the gallops to win a classic.

Ranieri is a sharp sharp man

I'll only start to believe properly in a situation where we are 4 or 5 points clear with 1 game to go

What if we are 10 points clear with 3 games to go?

New day, new word: "decorticate" - "to remove outer layer or husk, as in a nut"

I like it.  :D

Ride those March horses through to the finishing line, Claudio, you sweet little nut.

I feel some Bunnymen coming on: "Bring on the dancing horses, headless and all alone....Bring on the new Messiah, wherever he may roam!"

No... still time for a 10 point deduction for not having over 60% possession kn every game.

Don't forget to dock the 15 for doping

Hhh, it's the first verb that came to my mind there in French "décortiquer" I assumed a little Englishisation of the verb would keep the same meaning, and am glad it did :P

haha I feel very similar - funny how 1 game makes everyone think we've got it wrapped up. There's still 39 points to play for. Unfortunately!!!

The program in March looks so uncannily easy on paper, so there's a couple of potential banana skins.

West Bromwich Albion (H) - probably going to be involved in a relegation scrap one way or the other, will trying to frustrate us and put up some fight (and a lot of hoof balls, it's the Pulis way)

Watford FC (A) - they have a class goalie (but let's be thankful for Gomes' blunder at the King Power), a surprisingly well-functioning collective plus Deeney and Ighalo and sit neatly in the middle, nothing left to lose at that stage I suppose

Newcastle (H) - see West Brom, just without the hoofing, Shelvey has shown on occasion that he possesses quality and Mitrovic and Wijnaldum shouldn't be underestimated

Crystal Palace (A) - see Watford, just without the goalkeeper part plus no player in the Deeney or Ighalo mould and they'll still want to avoid being associated with the relegation zone

I agree.

On the other hand, we may just spank the lot of them.

ooohh that would be fun. I manage the Arkel private boxes at Cheltenham and had the Man U team last year. The Leicester team would be a pant wetting experience.

CR compared race horses in last 10 and 100m as title inspiration to Sir Alex Ferguson success and his big love for the same.
