AYLESBURY FOX 1961 Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 I have the same level of anxiety/panic/expectation/fear/hope that I had before blackburn swindon and derby - by the time we got to Palace it was so been there done that it didnt register as special occasion. Just try and think back (if you can!) to how you felt going down to wembley to play blackburn - on the day I was hammered - passed out in the car park through alcohol - though I reckon it was heat exhaustion - hottest day I can ever remember. We were the nobodies up against Jack Walkers money bags team who had seriously bottled it - surely we were just going to turn up and do em. Demolishing Cambridge 5-1 we were invincible - I had no doubts...........and then staggering up Wembley way it all got very real and I was overcome with emotion (or was it the double sambuca chasers ?) - I needed to lie down just to check this was all happening. Safe to say the game passed me by in an instant. Ive only cried at three games in my life - oxford at home to avoid relegation, blackburn and ****in speedie dive and that glorious night at sheffield wednesday when we actually won something. Ive got the beers in for Sunday - ive even got to watch it in front of arsenal fans - theres going to be scenes no doubt - but for GODS SAKE - bring on the TEARS OF JOY!!!!!!!!!
Raw Dykes Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 Started on the beers early it seems. Aylesbury is an apt place name.
foxes161 Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 just think how you will be if we are close to the title...
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 I agree with CR, there's no pressure on us
BrummieFOX Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 Huge game but so long to go still. Some of our lot will think it's wrapped up if we win on Sunday.
GaelicFox Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 Did we ever not stand and support the lads for the first 5 mins of a game ? All my anxiety is about how this silly protest will go off !
Fez of Mahrez Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 Did we ever not stand and support the lads for the first 5 mins of a game ? All my anxiety is about how this silly protest will go off ! Chill out mate, it's not Tiananmen Square.
GaelicFox Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 Chill out mate, it's not Tiananmen Square. Few tanks wouldn't go astray It's ok I'll have a couple of Valium then a viagra and wait for babe station to start

dylanlegend Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 I must admit looking forward to this more than any other game. Literally cannot wait for it, which probably means we'll lose.
fuchsntf Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 Huge game but so long to go still. Some of our lot will think it's wrapped up if we win on Sunday. Its nailed on..!!! Any result at Arsenal this forum will go in overdrive, with crazy OTT posts and threads. Forgetting the fat lady has not yet left her house, nor even warmed up her vocals. Mind you it would be bloody exciting..
HighPeakFox Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 I literally can wait - quite glad i'm going for a nice break straight after the match
dogadug Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 Did we ever not stand and support the lads for the first 5 mins of a game ? All my anxiety is about how this silly protest will go off ! It's getting a bit tiring seeing you post this everywhere...

Ive got the beers in for Sunday - ive even got to watch it in front of arsenal fans - theres going to be scenes no doubt - but for GODS SAKE - bring on the TEARS OF JOY!!!!!!!!! I remember we all met at about 8am at a pub in Lutterworth for breakfast that day. Had a fry up and 5 pints before 40 of us boarded the coach for Wembley. More beers on the bus and then like you, hammered by the time we got there . There was a Blackburn bus next to us in the Wembley car park and their fans were waving wods of cash at us through the window - wankers. We'd queued throughout the night around Filbo to get tickets for the game and then the atmosphere at the twin towers was incredible - it felt like we outnumbered Blackburn 2:1 - probably because we did. Then Speedie the cvnt ruined it all - still can't believe we then signed the little twat. But beating Derby was the best and Hillsborough a close second for me. All those Wembley trips kinda merge into one now. How spoilt we were back then. It all feels much different now - probably cos I'm older and wiser. But fighting for the PL title is a different kettle of fish altogether and I'm not really sure what's going on to be honest. It's all a bit too surreal really!
GaelicFox Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 It's getting a bit tiring seeing you post this everywhere... Yea I agree
UPinCarolina Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 WE'RE STAYING UP! WE'RE STAYING UP! (just putting this all in perspective)
One Arm Babba Posted 13 February 2016 Posted 13 February 2016 Being pragmatic Winning on Sunday gives us a 5/6/7 point lead Drawing on Sunday gives us a 3/5 point lead Losing gives us a 2 point lead All nothing, but at least we'll still be on top
AyewJoking Posted 13 February 2016 Posted 13 February 2016 division one/championship play-off final is surely the biggest game you can have, so much rests on it, especially money these days. bigger than the world cup, european championship and champions league final i'd say. so in response to the op its a big game for us but massive for arsenal. lose and we'll be pissed off to be within catching distance again whereas defeat for arsenal would cast big doubt over their challenge.
