brisfox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Like many of you, I am really fed up with Sky messing up my weekends. I think we have to accept that some games will be on TV on a Sunday, that is just how it is I'm afraid, however to have us on every Sunday is disrespectful to our fans. The protest at Arsenal had no effect. So what would be effective? Pitch invasions are out, signs in the crowd will not be shown by the cameras and chants can't be heard. The most effective one I saw was in Germany where fans threw tennis balls on the pitch. What do you think?
TrentFox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I prefer my interpretation of your thread title - namely that we protest at Watford. It's an awful place and we should demand that the relevant authorities raze it to the ground immediately and start again.
brisfox Posted 28 February 2016 Author Posted 28 February 2016 That's the whole point. That way Sky have to take notice
Voll Blau Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 If you can genuinely find more people in our away end up for getting potential banning orders for cobbing stuff on the pitch than were willing to miss five minutes of one match then fair play.
MPH Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 You'd have to be a bit of a tit to protest at a game that could edge us closer to our first ever premier league title... If you're truly mad at Sky, take a coach load of people to their HQ.
fuchsntf Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I like the changes, I can go and watch BVB...
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I don't understand this hatred for sky or broadcasters generally. When we were literally ignored when lets be honest there wasn't much to write about. They were criticised for concentrating on the bigger teams. Now that our story/club are the point of interest, we criticise them for taking an interest? Enjoy the ride. Enjoy the interest and, unfortunately, the inconvenience that comes with it. All this protesting cos they all of a sudden give a shit about us is not really needed.
harpendenfox Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 I am not fed up with Sky. It is what it is. I will be in the family stand at Watford trying desperately not to reveal my true colours
Benguin Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Cancel your sky subscription, best protest IMO
Babylon Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 That's the whole point. That way Sky have to take noticeSky pay a fortune for the rights, the league and sky don't care what protest you make.Protesting a late change is one thing, they aren't going to stop broadcasting games so this is pointless.
MrKåmark Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 You'd have to be a bit of a tit to protest at a game that could edge us closer to our first ever premier league title... Couldn't agree more, The reason these games are moved is because of the title race. IMO we have 2 choices 1. Games moved and in a title race 2. Games on a Saturday and not in a title race People around the country want to watch the teams at the top, and if you've not noticed we are at the top So let's stop the moaning and embrace it! This may only happen once. If you're truly mad at Sky, take a coach load of people to their HQ.
It'sblueupnorth Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Should we protest at Watford? No Should you cancel your sky subscription if you are actually angry about this? Yes
Stopper Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Oh the price of success ! Yes, let's settle for mid/lower table mediocracy and limit our exposure and income. Whilst we are at it, let's not achieve European qualification as this to means more Sunday football and changes to the typical fixture schedule.
fuchsntf Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Sky pay a fortune for the rights, the league and sky don't care what protest you make. Protesting a late change is one thing, they aren't going to stop broadcasting games so this is pointless. How many are really being inconvenienced. There are a few who will book weekends in advance , Hotels can be rebooked or cancelled.Public transport and re imbursment is the bug bear. A group where some from that group might not be able to go.Changing from Saturday to Sunday, might be unfortunate for shift workers, but , may also mean others can go because of the change, ditto for KO times. Look I live in Germany, Not been able to get a ticket for KP since christmas.I dont complain about forced membership.I seen empty seats yesterday, and they stayed empty..cest la vie. No use protesting, but like I have mentioned, why not people getting together and put in complaints.
Voll Blau Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Should we protest at Watford? No Should you cancel your sky subscription if you are actually angry about this? Yes What if you've never had a subscription?
Karljohn Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 This isn't anything new, remember skys Thursday and Friday nights in the Championship? They are and always will be responsible for ruining Football for many.
