Inler fails to make Switzerland squad

Maybe him and Kramaric can contribute more next season as we will have a lot more games. Don't wanna bin either of them just yet.

Get rid of the pair of them, they're both 4th choice at best in their positions and maybe even 5th.

Inler isn't getting any younger and we will be looking to bring in more quality in the summer and push the pair of them further down the pecking order. They'll both be on decent money and neither will hardly get any game time.

I agree, though I don't think getting rid will be quite as easy as we think. Inler must be on a biggish wedge at City. And Kram won't go for anywhere near we paid for him I'd imagine.

I think we could get our money back on Kramaric as he's doing very well in Germany.

Inler we will almost certainly have to take a loss on but c'est la vie, you can't expect to get out for no loss when you have a failure in the transfer market. What amazed me in the January window was the really high loan fee we wanted for Inler.

On his way out surely.

Top marks for his attitude though, I actually think it's sad we've not seen more him. He's a good player and clearly a good character. Not a chance he gets in our team though.

In some way his complete absence from the matchday squad and how well he's took it makes me wonder if there's something else, long term injury or something.

Maybe he's just an honest pro that could accept the situation?

Inler and kramaric 100% won't be an city next season

But I thought Kramaric was our savour? Actually I wouldn't mind seeing if he's improved his game since heading over to Germany.

You reckon?

He's got a premier league winners medal round his neck.

Would you get much satisfaction from having won something where you've had a minimal contribution in acquiring it? Not sure I would personally. It'd sit in the trophy cabinet, sure, but I reckon I'd be thinking....weren't really me though was it?

Compare that to how Vardy must be feeling (or any regular player).

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if we kept Inler for the Champions league. The pace of games won't be as gung-ho and his guile could contribute.

Well yeah obviously. That's not the point though, think it might be worth missing playing four or five games in France in the summer, that's the point

He's played his part, 5 games and equally importantly done a reasonable job in the cups allowing us to rest regulars. Not integral but certainly won't take it away from him

You could be right but I guess that might pinch a little too. Not playing for my country (when I had been pretty much ever present) in a big tournament nearing the end of my career OR winning a Premier League medal when I hadn't much participated? Not sure.

Again I'm not saying it's an either or situation. I am saying "huge regret" is something I doubt he has, as clouds go the lining don't get much more silver than this.

I guess it all depends pretty much entirely on his personality.

If Inler is the sort of bloke who is happy to be a bit part player in a successful squad and not too bothered about his international inclusion, he'll be fine.

If he's not to chuffed about being on the fringes and is disappointed over being dropped from the Swiss side, I guess publicly he'll be all smiles but personally will be wondering whether it was the right move.

As you say though, the medal will soften the blow if it's the latter.
