foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 When does Huth get the call up to the German squad?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Clearest penalty of all time. People have just laughed it off but if that injury time Delaney shot goes in, Jesus...
Danizen Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Huth must have lost some Weight as it came off him so easy. They're using up all the XXXL's that are in stock If huth had scored after that up in scotland he would have been booked It's the same rule down here. That would've probably been the best moment of the season. Getting booked because the opposition took your shirt off!
rico Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 INCIDENT: A Leicester corner is taken and Scott Dann pulls Robert Huth's shirt off in the penalty box among the pushing. The referee gives nothing. GALLAGHER'S VERDICT: No penalty Robert Huth's shirt was pulled off by Scott Dann GALLAGHER'S VIEW: The referee is too distant from the incident when you see it. The referee has got so much to watch, he's looking through so many players he can't see that, and when Huth gets up it turns into comedy value.
Wymsey Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 Standard of referees have been poor this season, that poor videos need to be used next season/season after. Clearly was tugging him.
Dan Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 Hold on... No penalty, because the referee missed it? That completely misses the point of reviewing the decision. If that isn't a penalty I don't even know why we bother.

Gerard Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 How can you pull the shirt off someone and it not be a penalty, ffs? It's an utterly ludicrous decision we didn't get a pen from that. I didn't think it was a penalty. If that's a penalty there'd be 30 every match.
Gerard Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 imagine if huth had escaped the marker an scored with no top on would've been literally the greatest moment in soccer history It would only be second to this IMO. Would he get a yellow for the no-shirt-celebration? Great point.
Larry_LCFC Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 If only that could happen in womens football. Those Germans
Domsdad Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 Hold on... No penalty, because the referee missed it? That completely misses the point of reviewing the decision. If that isn't a penalty I don't even know why we bother. The only reason there's been nothing more made of this is because we won. In fact everyone (including Gallagher) seem to find it funny. As clear a penalty as you will ever see, and I thought refs had been told to look out for shirt pulling more.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 What are they paying him for if he's saying "it's not a penalty because the referee didn't see it"? He's adding literally nothing if that's his opinion.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 I didn't think it was a penalty. If that's a penalty there'd be 30 every match. I reckon I've probably watched 2,000 football matches, maybe more if you include amateur stuff and I've never ever seen somebody have their shirt taken off by their marker at a corner. It's probably the clearest penalty of all time. Its not a slight shirt pull for goodness sake he's pulled his shirt hard enough to take it off his back! I'm flabbergasted that anybody could look at the video and think it's not a pen. I didn't see it at the time so I don't blame the ref (albeit I am not paid to look out for indiscretions far more minor than that) but I do wonder what you think goes on in penalty areas at corners if you think that there'd be "30 every match" of a similar nature.
ScouseFox Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 ive seen a few people say it's not a penalty and i think the fact he actually pulls his shirt off helps the defender a bit. if the shirt doesn't actually come off his head then he launches huth across the penalty area and it's given as a penalty imo. the way he actually undresses him and huth just flops to the floor, in full motion, probably looks stupid and you can see why he didn't give anything.

I just think that Huth allows him to do it by willingly coming out of the shirt. There's lots of grabbing that goes on in the box and I don't think Dann was anymore forceful than what is expected. Just my opinion, I might be wrong.
