The level we are playing our u 21s at, yes this is a 7 a side exhibition but players couldn't pass, control the ball, do the basics. I know this is a different format but players looking to break into a champions league team should be able to do the basics. A lot of games next season we might have to go deep within the squad, no one hear looked like they were even close to being able to step up.

We won the semi on penalties and are about to kick off against Eastern ( Hong Kong champions) now. All live streamed on YouTube for those interested, hopefully we can end the weekend with some silverware!
Aus Fox Posted 22 May 2016 Posted 22 May 2016 Win it 3-2 in the end so we claim the shield! (2nd tier comp) Gave away a 2 goal lead before the admiral got the winner late on. Harvey Barnes out best player in the tournament. A little apology all the teams are playing their under 21s, we actually played our under 18s which maybe explains a few of the poor performances. Not a bad result, West Ham v Villa in the main final now.

Has our Academy made any serious progress these last two or three years - it's a sincere question? We seem to be theoretically gathering the best available from all over the world yet don't seem to be making the impact to do that recruiting justice. Admittedly I've stopped watching now so I'll happily stand correcting and being reassured that our glut of new, home-tutored stars will be breaking through very soon.
