Leicester have CL football which will aid our chances of keeping him and I'd have thought he'd want to play in the competition. Everton and Man Utd are very good PL clubs, wouldn't resent him moving on, of course not. Just hope he stays.

Crystal Palace are set to sign French international goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, despite late reported interest from Leicester City.

Even with the summer signing of World Cup-winning stopper Ron-Robert Zieler, and with current first-choice 'keeper Kasper Schmeichel negotiating a new deal with the Premier League champions, Mandanda was linked with a potential switch to City by French network Canal Plus.

 

But according to L'Equipe, the 31-year-old, who is back-up to France captain Hugo Lloris, has undergone a medical with Palace doctors at Les Bleus' Euro 2016 base in Clairefontaine ahead of a likely transfer from Marseille to Selhurst Park.

 

Speaking to press in Denmark last month after Zieler's signing was confirmed, Schmeichel said: "I also expect that we pick up one more."

 

 

 

But, Mandanda, who has made over 440 appearances in nine seasons for Marseille and was voted Ligue 1's goalkeeper of the year last season, is first-choice quality, something City would not be able to guarantee with Schmeichel and Zieler also in situ
