In the Hurling My own County Limerick won Munster at their ease on Sunday versus Tipperary and Wexford won Leinster after a tough battle with Kilkenny along with incredible emotion in the county on Sunday night.

The semi final line up will more than likely be

Limerick v Cork/Kilkenny

Wexford v Tipp/Dublin

Defending champions Limerick have a lot going for them in terms of youth, physicality, workrate and attack. If I was to recommend an outside bet it is probably Tipp who despite the heavy loss on Sunday have now somehow got a handier route to a potential final on account of Wexford's win. Until last Sunday they were the most impressive side in the championship overall.

They are a bit like Mayo Football with an ageing squad but an a one off day in a final will fancy taking on anyone. 11/4 is a good price.

Good call!!

Tipperary win 3-25 to 0-20. The most one sided final of the entire decade.

A controversial sending off to a Kilkenny player in the first half was crucial. There was a point in it at the time but in truth Tipp had started to get the upper hand by then. Workrate and physicality was key along with brilliant link up play and they are very worthy winners.

Were ahead 1-9 to 0-11 at the break but 2 early goals in the 2nd half sealed it for them. Some of the hurling in the second half was just sublime. They are a class apart in full flow. Kilkenny over achieved getting this far. Minors took a similar beating to Galway in the minor final too.

A very drab affair. Was a bit like the championship overall. Didn't hit the heights of last year.

Over to the Football final in 2 weeks time. 5 in a Row chasing Dublin playing outsiders Kerry....

All Ireland Football Final today at 3.30 on Sky.

Dublin v Kerry. The El Classico of Gaelic Football. Have more titles than any other county.

Dublin chasing a historic 5-in-a-row. Something that has not been acheived in both codes, Kerry with a very young and emerging team. Should make it uneasy for Dublin today.

My relations from Galway tell me Dublin are like man city they have had huge amounts of euros and as such are virtually impossible to beat ?

i thought that you just played for the region you were from and dublin won every time cos surprisingly there’s a fu cking shit load more people to pick good players from in dublin than in some of the farms they play against?

Thats very harsh on Dublin.

They do have a huge advantage in population but the perception it's all down to money is wide of the mark.

Dublin went 12 years without An Ireland until 1995 and then didn't win another until 2011. They have a once in a generation pool of players. Vardy, Mahrez, Kante, Schmeichel types.

What the Galway folk may have left out is that Dublin have gone a bit of a makeover since they were trounced by teams in the late 00s. People complained that they were too soft back then and they complain now about finance and that they are too dominant and boring. Also Galway have huge population advantages over teams in Connacht but have been a bit of a mess since the early noughties.

Something about 15/20m euros and professional coaches and as the other man above says 1/4 the population not much love for them I'm told my great granny was from somewhere near Dingle that's Kerry I think so I'll have to shout for them the football is ok but no where near as good as the game with bats Hurleying , now that's a mans game

Dublin complete the 5-in-a-row. 1-18 to 0-15.

A phenomenal first half but Dublin scored a crucial goal at the start of the second half that gave them huge momentum.

A youthful Kerry team did reasonably well over the 2 games but ran out of steam as the game wore on.

Dublin have won 7 finals in 9 years and have not lost a final since 1994. The first team to win 5 on the trot. Might be the last hurrah for a lot of their aging veterans.

A most enjoyable final and an excellent year for Football in general.

Watched the hurling it’s an amazing game the football stuff is a bit slow for me compared to the hurling the Lads from Tipperary looked like they had a steak dinner and 5 pints at half time, they came out and just had a nap whereas the limerick lads (rugby city?) seemed to have been shocked into action

Limerick is a rugby city alright. The county itself if more of a hurling area. I'm from the county side.

We were dire in the first half. Probably the worst we have played in years. Tipp were all over us. We were missing a few first team players but when we brought them on made a big difference.  Tipp were missing a few more than us so would not have been good to lose.

Its actually happens a lot where a team is down by 9/10 points but makes a comeback to win.

Football can be slow yes but its vastly underrated.Hurling has 10 or so counties that play it at the top level so it's a lot less one sided. Football is played by almost every county that might be picking from small numbers so mass defences can be the order of the day. At elite level its spectacular.

Dublin and Kerry played out another cracker last night that finished in a draw. It's not far off being one of the best rivalries in world sport.Nearly always guaranteed a good game.
