Countryfox Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 Only took 7 years but best to have the thread up, running, and ready for it ...... Whilst we wait til Wednesday lets have a game of hangman ... you know the one, guess the letters and try and save Blair yourself from being hung .... _ _ _ _ _ _ !! (6 letters). The only difference to this game from the original is you can't have the letters U L G Y I T .... apart from that normal rules apply.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 Oh good, another political thread in general chat say not many!
Guest Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 Oh good, another political thread in general chat say not many! where is it supposed to be?
Countryfox Posted 3 July 2016 Author Posted 3 July 2016 where is it supposed to be? He's got a point ... can we ask the mods to move it to a sub thread of 'Absolute cvnts of our time' perhaps ..
leicsmac Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 I hope it's damning. Blair should face all kinds of reprimand. And also, to a lesser degree, so should every single MP regardless of party affiliation who voted for war on the basis of a lie for their culpability through gullibility.
Countryfox Posted 3 July 2016 Author Posted 3 July 2016 @@Countryfox Is the answer "sucdar"? Nope DJ, told you that you couldn't have a U ... pay attention.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 Nope DJ, told you that you couldn't have a U ... pay attention. Well it should be a 'U' with a kind of triangle hat on if that makes any difference?

Wymsey Posted 3 July 2016 Posted 3 July 2016 Had we not entered Iraq, and still don't understand really why the UK did so, we'd probably be less of a threat from IS and also from Al-Qaeda.

Free Falling Foxes Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 As Sir Humphrey Appleby said: "Never start an enquiry unless you know what it's findings will be.'
Dr The Singh Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 I gave it a B-, good attempt but won't be enough to imprison Blair
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 Nope DJ, told you that you couldn't have a U ... pay attention. Just in case you didn't get it - because it is fairly obscure, "sucdar" is the translation of the 'G' word in Kurdish I understand, so had it not had the 'U' it would have been absolute genius given you're opening. I had been looking for a 6 letter synome of the 'G' word and thought I'd found one that also avoided the forbidden letters but alas hadn't spotted the 'U'.

The Railway Man Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 To think they kept this back as it was going to look so bad on the establishment if might effect the EU vote
Vacamion Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Something tells me a few of you have already made your minds up about what this report will conclude and what it says about the dramatis personae involved. Corbyn and Salmond, amongst others, appear to be itching to see Blair denounced and the subject of criminal proceedings. Some of you seem to be in the same boat. I'm no fan of Blair's, but let's wait and see what the report says about it all.

It's certainly not going to influence people's pre-existing positions that's for sure!

It's not going to happen though, the people gunning for Blair are going to do so whatever, I do think he's in serious trouble by the sounds of it though. Corbyn may even be holding on just to brand him a war criminal.

I'm keeping an open mind also .... by the way, as no one got it, the answer to the hangman game at the start of this thread was .... GUILTY !!!
