This. Look, I'm an American living in a small town outside of Rome, Italy. I am not sure if people in Leicester know how BIG the club is around the world right now. My wife always had to spend 20 minutes explaining where Leicester was when asked (she would slice a vein and draw a map of England in her own blood before saying "near Birmingham"). Now, people literally scream "Claudio's team!" If she wears a Leicester shirt, people stop her in the street. In the States, the Premier League has just started airing on network TV (given the time difference, it's something to watch before the NFL). Leicester is their first big story. Do you think NBC produces hour-long specials on Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea? All those Facebook "friends" I have in the States from who knows where: secondary school, university, jobs I forgot I had? They are all talking about Leicester City. I was getting messages from people I hadn't spoken to in a decade congratulating me, and I only married into it. That's the largest market in the world. Because of Okazaki (who gets too much crap), the same thing is happening in Japan, which is the second largest market in the world. Hopefully, the owners - and the rest of the club - experience some of this while they are in LA. Frankly, I think they should have put them in the Rose Bowl, since they still would have sold out. Drop some coin to keep the team together. A top four finish and/or any kind of silverware, and it will cement the club among the top 20 in the world. It can happen that fast: Look at Man City.
promised land Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 Man City bought the league though, massive difference to how we have achieved it. A good write up though marriedaLeicestergirl.

blurryface Posted 29 July 2016 Posted 29 July 2016 Is that RRZ clinging on the net for dear life? I've been in that wall after a game of heads and volley's and the relief when you don't get hit is indescribable.
