Links in with the other expansion thread, but what actual expansion size would you like to see happen at the stadium?

Ideally just under 40K.

As I've always said I'm more interested in the look and atmosphere of the stadium than the size. Big clubs should play in beautiful, atmospheric stadiums and not boring symmetrical things with crap acoustics.

Good post. To be honest I actually think our atmosphere will get better as a result of expansion - say we increase by another tier - that's more noise filtering down to the pitch, and, for the first time, out into the area.

447,299 is a good number, one more than the quoted record attendance 6th round FA cup v Spurs 1928....but I'd settle for 40 to 45,000, new stadium not required imo. Why would we want to throw away the recent history of The King Power Stadium when there's enough land around there to make the expansion work? Naturally car parking would need to be resolved satisfactorily too.

Am thinking you could be 400k over the record and the biggest ground the world has ever seen. And yes we would struggle to fill it.

Stick about 10k on what we've got now. Not too much so that in the lower profile games we don't fill it, but not too little that it doesn't give many more fans a chance to attend.

Hate to say it but new stadium. Preferably built properly.

Keep the old one for concerts and the like.

45,000 that would be good for me

Agree as well.

All very well saying add another 10k+ on but it's not really as simple as that. The surrounding infrastructure struggles to cope as it is. Where are these other 10000 people going to park for starters? It's a nightmare already.

Hasnt that sold out???

To be honest I was surprised too, to find we hadn't sold our end at Wembley - (yet maybe?)

Parking is something that needs to be resolved before expansion - although the land next to the stadium could be useful. At the same time can't imagine cars trying to get out of Filbert Way with crowds of people walking, unless they were to wait...

Any new stadium will more than likely be out of town if we build another. I'd rather improve the one we now have.

Park and Ride would sort this out. But for one reason or another - lack of supporter support? lack of club support? lack of council assistance? - it's never happened.

Our average home attendance in my opinion would be 38-40k, and I think we'd get 45k for the big league games against Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal etc - and also Champions League nights would be a full house. This is why I feel an expansion to 45k would be sensible.

Can we swap the kop and the family stand?

Nope

Not meaning to go against the grain but I personally wouldn't want to see the Kop swapped to the Family Stand. With the help of Union FS, it feels more like a unique stand now with flags, tifo's etc. It's got something about it, feels more like a Kop end whereas in the Family I wouldn't feel like that. The away fans would probably have to be moved anyway even if the Kop was swapped, because there wouldn't be the size to fit everyone in the Family as it currently is.

Based on the fact we have had to go to general sale for the community shield I think any talk of a stadium expansion looks a bit silly right now

hope the club wait till summer 2018 to even look at this !

I don't again want to be sat in a 3/4 filled stadium every week

Not sure buddy ! Your basing those figures on 2015/16 , not many seem convinced that level of performance can be maintained ,even Chelsea struggle to fill a ground in that bracket week in week out
