Wow this is sad! A player who was fantastic for us and helped achieve the biggest shock in football history. And people think it's ok to boo him?

Cambiasso was part of a failing team up until THAT run. He jumped ship at the end of that season, but yet he kept his legend status.

Kante was far better for us than Cambiasdo and yet when he leaves at the end of the season he is going to be boo-d.

I see every reason to clap him for what he did for us. He wanted to quit while he was ahead. Fair enough. He certainly won't be boo-d and i know for a fact the club will be dissapointed if you do him. It's a disgrace some of you are even considering it.

Cambiasso came at the end of his career and obviously just wanted a short taste of the Premier League. He didn't leave for another PL club. He probably wouldn't have coped with the fast pace of the league for much longer anyway. Kante is a totally different situation.

Legend , I don't see cambiassio as a legend

sorry who is the mythical "the club"

the owners ? The management ? The admin ?

When im 70 and shuffling down filbert way in the snow and ice those people will be long gone , but I will still be here  ....so who are "the club" to tell me what and what not to feel ?

The Club is US , the supporters , we are the club , the club belongs to us , we may not own the deeds but we own the spirit !

Some of us will boo and anyone complaining about us doing so really are showing a complete lack of respect for our rights to support our team how we choose to.

we won't be making people boo ! And won't be complaining other clap

Legends don't walk out for money.

Appreciate everything Kante did and he's one of the best I've ever seen here, but he doesn't retain legendary status for me as he walked out for more money - and also at the first opportunity!

Because booing in football full stop is disgraceful, but to do it to a player who achieved such a massive thing with us is just showing a complete disregard to the achievement in itself.

There is also no evidence he walked out for money. In fact i would say that he saw an oppertunity to improve Chelsea and play a major part for them. A new challenge. As it is he has already balanced up their midfield.

I still cannot beleive how radiculously childish some people are being. I am also a supporter of this club and I will be truly dissapointed if people boo-d one of the best players we have ever seen.

P.S booing creates a toxic atmosphere, not a spirit.

Cambiasso went to a club that cpuld offer him champions league football. He jumped ship to gain success elsewhere. I would bet he is also on more money with his new team as well. It's completely the same situation.

We were champions when Kante left. The club seemed to be in disarray when Esteban decided to leave.

If we went onto get relegated last year cambiassio wouldn't be a legend to anyone !

Events have certainly been kind to his legacy

Cambiassio:

legend ....not for me , some he will be maybe the younger ones

great season ....yes in the end was great season but for 2/3rds it was dire

appreciated for ever ....yes

Kante:

legend .....not now , pain will heal and he will end up one because we became champions

great season .....simply the best ever

appreciated forever ....yes in the long run he will be by the majority , for a sizeable number of people he will be the bye word for greed and all that's wrong in the EPL

So because my opinion is differing to yours, I am embarrassing myself?

What's the point in a forum then?

I personally will be more embarrased by our supporters who will be booing and showing such a clear disregard to one of the players in our best season as a football club.

Cambiasso was a superstar in his own right, he came here in the twilight of his career making it clear it was a 1 year contract. Kante came here last season from Caen on a 4 year deal obviously contracts mean fook all, we gave him the stage and he fooked off at the drop off a hat your comparison with Cambiasso is faulted.

lets all show our class and clap the little fella.

he helped us achieve something magical last season and will forever be a part of our great history.

I can see your point and if you clap beside me I will nod in respect at your actions

but for me my loyalty is to the club and I feel he owed LCFC one more season ! He was disloyal to his team mates and to the supporters by leaving for silver. All this new challenge shite is crap , what bigger challenge in club football exits this Season than leading leicester city into the champions League ! He went for cash ! And that's what hurts

once that first game is over I hope that will be the end of the negativity towards him and we can get back to recognising the magical part he played last year

He's a machine , he won't respond to claps, boos or indifference!

This. Kyle Reese sums him up perfectly in the 1984 sci-fi Classic The Terminator "It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear! And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!" (Or until he wins the ball from you).

Why should Konte be clapped, he received that last year and at the end of the season. All the players were thanked and received appreciation for what they did for LCFC from the fans, the city and the county. Konte as moved on he is an opposition player, he only played for us for one year then dumped us. I see no reason to clap him anymore. However, if players for example like Nugent, De Lait or Lloyd Dyer have an occasion to visit the King Power to play against us they will most certainly get clapped by me.

In my opinion:

1) He was key in the best season in our entire 132 year history, and was one of the best players to ever put on the City top. And I'll always remember him fondly for that contribution.

2) However the way he left was terrible really, if he really wanted to step-up he would of gone Madrid, Barca or PSG when the time came, whilst Chelsea is a step-up its half the step-up he could've made had he had another belter here. Lack of loyalty I'm afraid and you can't hold it against those who have decided it's tarnished his reputation in their eyes.

3) Personally I'd give him a small clap, but time to move on. We don't need Super Daniel Lite when we have the real deal on our books.

He was part of a team that won us our first ever league title.  I will always love him for that.

At the same time he abandoned us the first chance he got.  So I will never forgive him for that.

All in all I will just pretend he is another player for the opposition and ignore him entirely.

Why not both?

Exactly, hands for clapping, mouth for booing, can do both at same time.

Ignore. Yes he abandoned us for the money, but we all need to remember that we would arguably of not won the league if we didn't have him. Maybe a little cheer when his name is called out at the beginning when naming the squads, just to show are appreciation for what he did for us.

Wasn't for the money. In his eyes and many foreigners you come across abroad think that Chelsea are massive. We obviously think that is short sighted and the city of Leicester is great, you can see the attraction of London + he can be back in Paris in no time.
