If you could change any football rule?

As you say why couldn't it be used at least for offsides. You see far more goals ruled in/out wrongly for offside given/not given than you used to with goals that did/didn't cross the line. The technology is there for this that could make it right 100% of the time, will we see technology used in these cases? Will we 'eck.

With other situations the video ref would have to side with the on field ref if there wasn't 'crystal clear' evidence to overturn the on field refs original decision. Yes you would always get the odd controversial case, but surely a video ref has a better chance of getting it right with a super slow mo HD replay than a guy running at full pelt 50 yards away from the incident?

Not really. Things always look much worse in super slow motion

Throw ins- why a throw? Why not a kick in? It's FOOTball

i know we have goalkeepers but....

Too much of an advantage to the attacking side for what it is.

Just for giggles I'd like to see all corners, free kicks and penalties turned into throw-ins.

I've always thought that defenders shielding a ball from an attacker and shepherding it over the line for a goal kick (or even a throw in)  should be an offence and result in a free kick. It would force defenders to play the ball and result in more goalmouth incidents.

I remember it being seen as obstruction which it is if the defender is not in control/reach of the ball. I don't believe that there is a specific obstruction rule now which used to be an indirect free kick of if there is one I can't remember the last time I saw one given.

Silly little one.

Having to go to the sidelines with an injury if you receive treatment.

I understand the whole concept of using it to feign injury and waste time.

But if your opponent takes you out, why are they getting an advantage of playing against 10 men, for albeit, a short time.

Bring back golden goal

Stronger punishment on simulation

Maybe one video review each of an incident in the box, but don't take the piss like Rugby.

Microphones on the referees

Stop wearing the away kit for no reason (Arsenal)

Some salary cap on shitty agents

Arsenal home to Basel away was too similar according to UEFA so there's the reason...

Yeah but they wore yellow against us instead of their red and white which clashed directly with all blue...

Away kits are there for the reason... especially with Puma they like the kits being worn when played away? What's the problem :S

The ball having to leave the penalty area from defensive free kicks and goal kicks. What's the point? :dunno:

Other than mine none of these suggestions are football rules lol They could quite easily be implemented by the Premier League as a competition rule....

Ooops DB you've had a mare there.

On the contrary all the others ARE rules, yours is a law.

So my suggestion would be for all football fans/players/managers/pundits to know the difference between rules and laws.  To read the laws and then take the refs course.

Just off to Vicky Park to be told by 22 sunday morning players that I don't know the rules.  Wish me luck.

Not sure how much you could consider it a rule but would like to see referees answering post match interviews.

Half of them want to be centre centre stage anyways so let them explain their actions in public.

Probably will I'll never happen though as the FA will probably consider any debate as influential to their report!?

Realistic change though, added time - just stop the clock rather than make up an additional time

That would just encourage teams to defend until pens especially for minnow teams. I am not too keen on referees being interviewed either, in fact I think it will be even counter-productive with referees under even more pressure to make correct calls so they might go for the safe option in any decisions rather than having freedom to go with their guts because they know they will have to explain themselves on TV later on.  Being on TV also will open up an additional platform for them to being ridiculed which will demotivate people from entering the profession even more.
