If you could change any football rule?

A ban on agents, allow players to have a rep from the PFA if they feel they are being treated unfairly. But if they can't negotiate their own deal then they get what they get.

Ohh make referees do interviews and explain their decisions, players have to have cameras pointed in their faces straight after a match and dare they say a bad word against a decision feel the wrath of the FA, how come referee's get on scot free.

A game clock we can all see that the ref blows his whistle to start and resume ie stopped when a goal goes in, a substitution is made, a player is adjuged to be time wasting or we have an injury, then the game finishes right on 90.00.

It'd be illegal to score against Leicester.

But it is...But the authorities ard too busy clamping down on the lower priorities...

Too busy chasing big Sam, poor bloke wanted a few more pennies for his fishtank....

if we stopped the clock like basketball or rugby etc we'd still be playing in league one it'd take that long to play a full season

Not all 'rules' as such, but the top 5 things I'd like to see changed at football...

1. Players wear 1-11 shirts on match days - none of this squad number 99 bollux

2. Black boots only - one luminous yellow and one bright orange boot just looks fookin stupid

3. No substitute goalkeepers allowed - nothing better than watching an outfield player having a go in goal

4. Get rid of the 4th official - waste of space

5. Diving/Simulation/Rolling around like a pussy = instant 3 match ban & a month salary fine

That is all..

Reinforcement of the six second rule. All that going lax on that has done is given a defending side more chance to waste time.

More retrospective action taken against cheating such as simulation and diving.

No silly fines for whenever someone tells the truth.

Video technology.

Goal line technology has improved the game drastically.

Problem with video technology fog anything other than maybe offside is that the rules are all based on opinion.

The beauty of GLT is 2-fold:

1) The need to use it is rare (Shinji excepted)

2) It is providing clarity on an objective fact - was the whole ball over the line or not?

In addition, it works nicely in that a decision is made instantly so the game continues as would otherwise have been the case if the goal isn't awarded and obviously it stops if it is awarded.

One thing that pisses me off (and Kasper does this all the ****ing time) is stand there with their gloves ready to touch the ball meaning that the striker who is 20 yards away has to plod over and the keeper then picks it up (and then starts his 6 seconds).

That can go in the bin. It's time wasting.

Teams must always have minimum of 2 players in the oppo half, offside only occurs 40 yards or nearer from goal. Should stop the 10 men behind the ball rubbish we have to put up with, and make more space for attackers. Next, tennis - do away with the second serve. Anyone need any help with horse racing?

Who do you think does all the admin to allow substitutions to take place and to manage conflict on the sidelines to allow the referee to concentrate on refereeing?

Handball in penalty area = indirect free kick, plus yellow if intentional

Unless it is intentional and stops a would-be goal, then a penalty

No more questions about ball-to-hand, intent, or unnatural position

I don't think a penalty (and a yellow card?) is sufficient punishment for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity even if it's the result of a genuine failed attempt to win the ball.

But you haven't denied a clear goal scoring opportunity if a penalty has been awarded, they still have one.

Was genuinely thinking of this during the boring euros. Tactical battles (being too scared to attack) make games so boring. I think something along these lines would be a great addition to the game.

One thing that would be hard though is officiating that rule, how and when would you punish a team for not having 2 players in the oppositions half.

I love seeing forwards with their hands in the air, counting to show the lino/referee how long is being taken - it just vamps the pressure up and incites the crowd to hurry it up as well - I remember Suarez did this frequently in the PL. If no pressure is put on the officials to enforce then the defending team will continue to get away with it!
