City fan escapes banning order after bottle-throwing incident

A Leicester City fan who threw a bottle onto the pitch during the Foxes' 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth earlier this month has escaped a football banning order.

Harry Taylor, (19), of Melbourne Road, Ibstock, appeared before magistrates in the Dorset seaside town yesterday charged with throwing a missile onto a football playing area.

He pleaded guilty.

The plastic bottle was thrown close to City defender Christian Fuchs as he lined up to take a throw-in at AFC Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium on Tuesday, December 13.

An application for a football banning order to be imposed was refused on the grounds Taylor's action was an act of frustration rather than intentional violence.

Taylor was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Nice, so anyone who threw coins at that cunt Pawson won't get in trouble because it was in frustration right?! :knockyhat:

(Not that I threw any, I was too far away but can totally understand anyone who did)

The judge considered a banning order but instead wanted there to be punishment so he insisted that the fan should continue attending City matches this season.

I saw that twat throw the bottle (I shouted he was a twat as well). Am so glad he got caught and fined a proportionate amount.
