How does it feel to be the most hated club in Britain?

Yes

my twitter and Facebook is full of hundreds of people praying for relegation

we are the most hated club on planet right now

The same people would have been loving it if we had got relegated under CR.

A lot of people on my twitter who support other clubs only 2 weeks ago were laughing & saying how embarrassing it is that we are champions. Now CR has been sacked they are saying it's a disgrace & they can't believe it.

I've followed your forum for a while, I would call it a small love affair after last season. The Hollywood story, a team from the depths winning the greatest league in the world.  A story we all aspire to.  After Pearson the outside world was sceptical of Ranieri, I for one wrote him off straight away. He changed mine and the countries mind. He led you to the greatest achievement in your history.

As a Sunderland support I've followed you after your win, wishing that some day it would happen to us. You all knew this season was going to be rough, things went wrong but what really annoyed me was following this forum the last month or so.  Raineri getting battered for not changing the team that won the league, being stuck in his ways... can you not blame him?

I just think from a Sunderland fans point of view, if a manager won the league with our club, he would be absolutely untouchable. I'd like to think we'd accept going down and give him the chance of next season getting us up. Maybe I'm wrong, These opinions are my own. It's just seriously annoyed me the way most of you lot have treated him.  No doubt he will get a statue outside your ground and everything will be forgotten.  We'll see what happens but on a personal note I'm over the moon he's been sacked, talk of Gary Rowett now.

You don't realise what you've got till it's gone.

Yep come on here after all the managers Sunderland have been through in the last 5 years. And in answer to the question I don't give a shit as the right decision was made, just maybe it was made too late.

Don't care what others think.

You all think it's all down to Ranieri, it's not... players, Walsh, Pearson, owners, backroom team etc all equally responsible for what happened.

He was a small part of a big machine. If he built the team and the spirit and created all the behind the scenes stuff then fair enough, I'd be outraged... But he didn't.

The owners are patient people. Not many clubs would have backed Pearson when they did several times over the years during poor periods. But they did so believing in what he was doing, seeing that despite setbacks, he was doing things the right way.

If they have got rid it's because they don't think he's going about things correctly and that long term it's going to do more damage than good holding onto him.

We are not the most hated club in Britain but obviously lots of people are pissed off about what has happened.

I was 50/50 about sacking Ranieri or letting him continue.

I'm not a fan of Catenaccio but that approach got us over the finish line last year and helped us win the title.

But it's been really tough watching the team for the last few months and I guess many fans had decided enough was enough.

Impossible to know what Sunderland would do if they were in our situation, but recent history suggests that they tend to get rid of managers quite quickly too.

Respect your opinion mate, but do you honestly think the majority of our fanbase would believe sacking our only ever title winning manager to be the right decision if there wasn't something seriously wrong?

Honestly, it's the worst football we've played since we were relegated to league 1 10 years ago. No away wins all season, no league goals in 2017, a loss against a 10 man league 1 side. He's completely lost the dressing room- whether that's down to the players acting above their station or not is a different matter, the buck stops with the manager and it's the only thing to change to stop us going down. It's a decision the owners had to make to give themselves a chance of saving hundreds of millions of pounds- they're businessmen.

Frankly, I don't care what other fans think of us- the national love in had long since become tiresome and patronising. Last time everyone was praying we got relegated was when Pearson was walking around calling journalists pricks and ostriches, and we did okay.

Who cares.

All these peeps could care less for us a few years ago and do not actually support this club apart from following the crowd.

As for Sunderland, who cares what they think of Leicester.

This is such bollocks. Fans of other clubs didn't give a sh1t about Leicester the club last season and don't this season either. What they care about is the 'fairytale'. Here's the thing - it wasn't a fairytale, it wasn't a miracle, we were overall the best team on and off the pitch in the league last year. This year, so far, we're the worst. That is certainly not all down to Ranieri - recruitment is the big issue imo, he can only work with what he's got - but all this crap about how leicester have now 'ruined the fairytale' is complete rubbish, and in fact sums up the patronising attitude weve had to put up ever since we were first top of the league.

This kind of thing really pisses me off. You haven't got a clue what has happened to our club these past few seasons, coming on out forum every now and then doesn't make you an expert.

Last season wasn't down to just Ranieri, it was a collection of factors. Do you think if Sunderland started last season with Claudio in charge you'd have won the league? Would you fvck!! Foundations were perfect when he took over and slowly he seemed to be dismantling the very foundations that could have made us an established PL club.

Yes last season was incredible and he deserves a lot of credit but the footballing world seem to think he is some kind of God? If we was then why are we 1 point from relegation?

Every other fan wants us to go down but ironically sacking Claudio is our ONLY chance of staying up. He leaves with great admiration and will always be an LCFC legend but no one is bigger than the club

I love it! Were back to being the fighting under dog with a fiesty spirit that everyone hates. That is the Leicester way. Now get in a tough nut manager and we're back to the good old days without thebprawn sandwich brigade. This is Leicester!

Couldn't care less what others think.

Once the media have got bored, we'll get on with the rest of the season under a new manager and hopefully perform another escape.

If we get relegated, the media will return with 'you deserve it' I'm sure, but this will blow over in a few days.

You Leicester fans were all there cheering when amazing things happened last season, against all the odds and a poor budget. Im a proud Bradford (Park Avenue) and Leeds United fan but have followed Leicesters fairytale. How fickle you are. Yes for me hatred wise, you elevate above Leeds, Millwall and the rest. The 'fans' amongst you that are not one season wonders. As soon as trouble arises you all desert the ship and captain, traitors basically. Im sure there are some very loyal and intelligent fans who will disagree with this decision, to you i say stick to your guns, you know right from wrong. The other glory fans are scum.

No mate, I've been a City fan for 41 years and I think it's absolutely the right decision. I'm a season ticket holder too. And certainly not a glory hunter.

And for a LEEDS UNITED fan to come on here to tell us how we should be running our club and thinking and feeling about our manager......!

Fook sake..... lollollollol
