Well after some close run (and some not) Ro16 matches we come to the quarter finals. Unfortunately if you're of a Celtic disposition you'll have no representatives here with Irish Stew, Haggis and Welsh Rarebit all getting roundly smacked around by their Anglo Saxon cousins (:englandsmile4wf:). Once again the roast dinners manage to avoid eachother with other heavy hitter Full English getting what some will see as an easy draw to the next round. After a close run contest Steak Pie triumphed over Shepherds Pie to go up against the bastardised curry Chicken Tikka.

Match 1 : Chicken Tikka Masala vs Steak Pie

Match 2 : Full English Breakfast vs Bangers and Mash

Match 3 : Roast Beef w/ Yorkies vs Fish and Chips

Match 4 : Roast Chicken w/ Stuffing vs Ham, Egg and Chips

This round ends on Monday with the semi's next. Happy voting.

Full English  v  Sausage and mash. That's the tie of the round. Sausage and mash on penalties.

Only just come across this competition, great idea. I've seen it briefly but haven't got involved until now.

Sausage and mash and Full English are neck and neck!   I have gone off on Full English since I became allergic to eggs so I was dreading its inevitable appearance in the final, go on bangers and mash!

Yorkies and Roast beef or Fish N Chips?

It's like the movie Sophie's Choice.

lol no, I like CTM because it doesn't cause my arse to turn into the amazon river but with lava. Most other currys do that to me.

Oh, I see!

You're excused then. lol

Plenty of better curries than a tikka masala that won't give you the trots. A tikka masala is just so bland, but making a curry less bland isn't about finding the most insanely hot chilli you can and shoving it in there.

The 20 people that have voted fish and chips are dead to me.

I can only assume you're either pissed or have received a knock on the head recently to come out with a statement like that.

Roast beef to lift the trophy.

Yeah sorry if you're voting Friday night take-out over Sunday lunch you probably suffered cranial trauma as a child.

It doesn't say anything about Sunday lunch, though.

If I've misunderstood and we're talking about a full roast dinner with all the trimmings, I would change my vote in a heartbeat.
