Carbon copy of Kanté, all the way down to his size. :D

Get him in!

Only question that I have is: How many more Africans are we going to sign/chasing after? Comes January and AFCON, we might as well play our reserves!

I don't think Amartey will ever be good enough to play in the premier league & Slimani will leave along with Musa meaning we only have Mahrez and Ndidi who will leave for afcon(?)

Musa and Mahrez won't be with us in 2019 IMO. We can afford one, at a push two additions from Africa.

Haha sent at the same time, I think Mahrez is more likely to leave than Slimani. Musa definitely on his bike, although I like Amartey, I tend to agree with you.

Don't think Slim will leave unless the club force him out - I saw an interview with him recently and it seems he wants to stay and improve in this league.

I definitely think we need to consider a plan b next season.. and this guy could well fit into a midfield 3 of Drinky, ndidi and, well, him..

I'd be inclined to add him ahead of drinky in a 4-4-2 . Especially if we lose Mahrez as we would need more  creativity..

All this yer-da hate from some on Slimani, he's got a better shot/goal ratio (25.6%) than Aguero (16.2), Costa (21.3) and Ibrahimovic (15.6) in the league this season.

Vardy 29.7%! Considering our service was shocking with CR, that's good going.

Yeah, I guess the summer transfer window will be an interesting one. Time to rectify a few "mishaps" from last year, I'd say.

We might even loan out Musa, Amartey and/or Slimani, who knows?

I agree. He has played 1000 less minutes than Vardy in the league and has 3 fewer goals, which isn't bad for someone most on this forum think is useless and "doesn't fit our system". If we got rid of players that didn't light the world on fire in their first seasons here, then we'd still be in the championship.

We would score even more if we had people able to contribute to our attacks like this Seri guy.  Gerrim in Craig.

If Mahrez left and we found someone who had the workrate/desire of Albrighton and a left foot cross (as good as his right foot), Slimani could score over 20 PL goals IMO. His heading/goal tally is outrageous on crosses sent between the penalty spot and goal area. Hopefully his groin can be nursed back quickly in time for a full pre season.

I think he would. He is a solid plan B if there is a defence that won't let us in.

Nice playmaker Jean-Michael Seri has reportedly caught the eye of Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Leicester and Southampton after helping drive his side to third in Ligue 1.

The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international has nine assists and six goals this season.

But Nice chairman Jean-Pierre Rivere says that if someone wants to sign him, they will have to dig deep.

"Seri has a 40m euro (£34m) clause," he told RMC Sport. It made everyone smile when we put this clause in two years ago. At that price he will be free. Otherwise, we do not intend to sell him at the moment.

If we're going to get the best from Slimani we'll  need to look at a different system. It's not impossible but the guy's seemingly constant groin problem bothers me.

Drinky will need to show considerable improvement next season if we're intending to compete for silverware and he's intent on a starting place.

At his best the guy has some good qualities. But he lacks a lot too and when he's less than fully fit the former don't shine through enough, and the latter are even more apparent.

I see him at something of a career crossroads and, unlike Kingy. I can't see him sitting calmly on the bench for long,

I think Ahmad Ahmad (the CAF president) is open to changing the date of the afcon. But I'm not too happy about gutting the squad every January/February.

Our chances of buying Seri have all but disappeared... in the Ligue 1 team of the year today.

In this market his £34m release clause is worth it, Ted Knutson is a brilliant analyst that helped Brentford form a team on a very low budget. Excellent radar of his ability here...

I agree with you... and i cant help but think he's been carrying an injury because as soon as we are safe, pretty much, hes then out for the rest of the season with an injury...

I definitely want the drinky of the league winning season back!

I'd offer Mendy as part exchange for him. That would be better than just a straight cash offer for them....
