Mease Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 All sounds great, development, brand, talent, growth etc.... ....let's make sure we remember, culture, roots, humility, consideration. let's not get too big for our boots don't like feeder club term and the thought of using them, it says we are entitled to fvck them over because we are 'bigger' is that how we want to be seen? it has to seem beneficial to the Leuven fans. Treat others how you wish to be treated.
Guest Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 Are we sure this is a feeder club and not a retirement club? so our legends of 15/16 can keep playing first team football for another 20 years.
mozartfox Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 If we are looking for a feeder Club surely Florest or the Sheep would be a better option? Their fans would welcome this with open-arms, especially if we change their strips to all Blue.

HybridFox Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 Normally used to us being the feeder club with all those loans we took in the Championship Makes a change

StriderHiryu Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 Are we sure they are a feeder club? The family that own Watford also own Udinese and Granada and there doesn't seem to be a firm favourite amongst those teams. However, they use / abuse the system to send players between the clubs which does seem to give them a financial advantage which I could definitely see Vichai seeing the merit in, hence this move. I'm a bit worried that it might mean taking time away from LCFC. Though the owners have had some cringe moments (players singing happy birthday comes to mind), they are the best owners in the league if not the world. They've got so many big calls right and some of their giving back has been awesome. So I hope we remain their number 1 sporting priority!

Giampaolo Pozzo has cut ties with at least one out of the three clubs he's previously owned (Granada). And Watford is now led by Pozzo's son, Gino. In the end, I can imagine he's gotten into too much trouble with regards to the complexity and side effects of transfers between the three outfits. Too many questions asked by the media and respective authorities. The situation is nothing like what Aiyawatt intends to do with OHL in case of a successful takeover - they need to create a healthy financial and sportive basis first, everything which is pretty much in place with the Pozzos already! Adequate facilities and a better stadium are one thing, attracting better players, improving the youth setup and getting promoted to the top flight being the other main tasks. Then we can start talking about "moving players" from one side to another.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 13 May 2017 Posted 13 May 2017 Hi, any of you ITKs know if the deal to buy Leuven is happening. Plus weren't we linked with purchasing a South African team too?
