Fuchs, Benny and Albrighton had very strong games, everyone else was average except Drinky who had a poor game for me. Vardy racking up the assists again
AKCJ Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 Kasper - Distribution is either shit or amazing. Shot stopping however, is always superb. 7 Simpson - Had a very solid game. Didn't make any mistakes. 8 Benalouane - Okaka didn't provide a test whatsoever for him. Good distribution and didn't look like being sent off! 7 Huth - I actually thought he was the poorest from our back four. I think that's the first time i've thought that since we signed him. 6 Fuchs - Was quite amusing to see him school Amrabat again and again. He's a fantastic player. 7 Mahrez - Capped a good display with a well earned goal. Constant threat. 8 Drinkwater - The more I see him the more I think we might need to replace him. He's been so poor for so long. 5 Ndidi - Absolutely supreme talent. Ngolo with height and goals. Maybe. Sort of. 9 Albrighton - He must come home after a game on Saturday, go to bed and wake up on Monday morning. Never seen a more handworking player. 9 Okazaki - One of our smartest players. Wish he had the physical ability to go with his brain. 7 Vardy - Should have got himself a goal really but he was so bright. Must be a nightmare to mark. 8 King - Calmed the game back down when Watford started to play a bit. 6 Slimani - Selective viewing from people around me when they say he doesn't try. 6 Gray - Nice pass to Vardy for the goal but otherwise barely touched it. N/A Shakespeare - Made the subs when they needed to be made. 7 - Stay. Watford - They were well and truly on the beach. They couldn't give a shit and they deserved to be booed by the away fans. 2
Ted Maul Posted 7 May 2017 Posted 7 May 2017 Mostly 6s and 7s, Albrighton 9, Simpson, Vardy and Slimani 8. Drinkwater 4 though, he had a mare. It was great to see Slimani come on and play like he really wanted it- hopefully his injury problems are behind him and he can kick on into some form.

Dealt with that fat Watford player well Benalouane 7 Some clever interceptions but his distribution if he has to pass it more than 5 yards is terrible Fuchs 7 Good game again Albrighton 9 MOTM. Everywhere and deserved his goal Drinkwater 6 Thought he had a decent game. Played a part in the first goal and one sublime cross field ball in the first half. He's becoming a scapegoat...... Ndidi 7 Really good in the air, strong in the tackle and gets goals. Shame we didn't get him in the summer Mahrez 8 Some sublime skill. Great goal Okazaki 6 Played his part in the win and did ok Vardy 9 If it wasn't for Albrighton's goal I'd give Vardy MOTM. Superb and unselfish display Surprised Shakey said it was scrappy. I thought it was a really good display. Subs did well too.

Simpson 8 Gets better and better: rock solid throughout, and great when he gets forward as well. Huth 5 He made some uncharacteristic mistakes, and could have cost us a goal. Benalouane 7 Needs to improve his distribution, but feels very safe in that position. Fuchs 7 Made a couple of mistakes and got out of position a few times, but still a great player. Albrighton 9 Absolute MOTM: great crosses and a lovely goal to go with it. I will always grateful to Villa for their kindness, generosity and stupidity. Drinkwater 5 Didn't have a good game, and lost the ball a few times in dangerous positions. Even so, he's a class act and we need to keep him. Ndidi 7 He's really growing into the team and is starting to play an important part. Mahrez 8 Got better as the game went on, but needs to learn when to make a pass and when to shoot. Okazaki 6 Lively and troublesome, but i do wish he'd stay on his feet occasionally. Vardy 8 Another good game - he has improved so much since Shakespeare took over. Brilliant run and cross for Albrighton's goal. King 7 Very tidy and reassuringly calm Slimani 6 Played OK, but some of his touches are still clumsy: could and should have scored when he had the chance. Gray 7 A couple of very neat touches, and a great tackle back to start the move for Albrighton's goal Shakespeare 8 I would like to have seen the substitutes about ten minutes earlier than he made them, but generally very good Ref 8 Played some good advantages for both teams and didn't got too involved Watford 3 Most of the team looked like they didn't give a flying one either way, apart from Deeney when he got on

Incredible work rate and well deserved goal 9 Okazaki - Usual performance 6 Vardy - A pain in the ass for Watford defense even if he didn't get any decent chance. Ran tirelessly. Great assist 8,5 King - 6 Slimani - Amazing decoy run for the third goal. We looked dangerous upfront as as he came on. Should've buried that one. 6,5 Gray - Started the attack for the third goal 6 Shakespeare - 7 Watford - Already on holidays. 4 Ref - 7
