Surely implementing safe standing is a drop in the ocean for them in terms of finances.

And it’s such an easy way of getting fans and fan groups more onboard.

Mind boggling (but very expected) that they chose the cheapest option.

I'd wager that's significantly higher than most that they do. Just an incredibly disengaged fanbase.

I'd say the same but proof simply that people aren't being vocal enough about their opinions.

I get that the view that the club won't listen so why bother. But in doing e-mails/surveys etc. you have a paper trail and proof they are in ignorance of your issue.

Again though the club will listen to who they want to, to get the environment they want. Someone at one of the meetings from a supporters group (I won't say which one but it rhymes with boxes stride) suggested bringing away ticket checks back and that gets fast tracked, safe standing gets lobbied for for 15  years and is fought tooth and nail until the SGSA tell them to.

Like I say, they'll do entirely what they want.

Hearing this will just be small areas of the cheapest sample they had. So nothing really worth writing home about

In other words, L1 and singing section

This was posted from the Foxes Trust on Nov 14 last year so I'm guessing they're going with Option 3? (when most people seemed to want option 1 or 2 as a minimum)

February 2025

  • Decision on the installation of independent barriers and the timing.
  • Fans Advisory Board updated.

We have been collaborating with Union FS in their campaign for the introduction of Safe Standing at the King Power Stadium, regarding proposals to the club on different options as to where safe standing should be located in Home areas.

Those options are:

  • Option 1 – Safe standing across the whole of the Spion Kop, SK1 to SK4 inclusive, a capacity of 7200.
  • Option 2 – Safe standing across the whole of the upper part of the Spion Kop with rails fitted in front of all seats from the vomitories upwards. This will enable fans below that level to remain in a fully seated area. The area above will provide safe standing for around 4000 home supporters.
  • Option 3 – SK1 and G1 corner. This will cover three blocks and provide safe standing for approximately 2500 home supporters.
  • Option 4 – An enlarged area in the SK1/G1/G2 corner covering five blocks and accommodating around 3000-3500 home supporters.

You also have to see how the club went about getting the survey responses. We had numerous home games with a fan zone they could have used to gather survey responses by having the physical product there.

Also laughable if what you've said are true. Wonder if they have an agreement that the group brings up suggestions the club wants to bring back/in and in return they continue to offer player meets etc

Survey was irrelevant, it wouldn't have made any difference if every leicester fan in the county took part, they'll do the cheapest smallest amount they can, most of ussaid this at the start and that's what will happen.  Unless the SGSA decide we need a larger area the club will do nothing.  And if they can just whack a bar in front of a seat then thats what they will do.

I don’t believe either supporter group got a response to that work.

FFS. The whole process is just depressing.

It's tiring giving a shit these days.

The constant bullshit is the exact reason we have a disengaged support.

Ultimately the club know this is a business like no other, and we’re customers who will never go away.

They don’t give a shit about us. Never have. As others have said, they just want to tick boxes given by the league.

Unfortunately I will be going away next season.

I'm just done with it

You just look at what Southampton did and think christ its the same bloody ground.

My only away game there this season and I was looking over at what they've done to that entire end thinking it looked the dogs bollux.

Hoping that we'd do exactly the same but clearly not. Massive opportunity missed.

The survey itself was flawed as, from what I remember, it basically asked if you like to see standing implemented in your part of the stadium, and if so would you like to use it.

That meant that anyone who is in favour of it being introduced, but doesn't think their block is the ideal place would have answered no. Might be wrong, but I'm sure there wasn't a question to guage if someone was in favour generally.
