Are our owners ambitious?

Of course our owners are ambitious, they've pumped a lot of money into the club.

Has anyone actually checked if this is fact?

We made a profit last year and the year before and the money we blew on Sven they converted into equity.

Not to mention the free advertising KP gets from shirt and stadium, which was probably worth 50 million alone in the title winning season.

Not meaning to criticise here, but people toss this line out about how much they have put in, has anyone done the accounting on it?

Their accountants - probably.

I believe the owners are ambitious but need to act further to push this Club on to the next stage. That includes not selling our so-called best players and increasing the capacity of the King Power Stadium. We are in danger of being left behind if we're not careful.

to the OP, its best to ignore tabloids.

notice the vardy rumour was week before man utd, papers flooded to unsettle team, now its dead after the game.

Rule of thumb ignore the printed press.

During our Great Escape and title season players were throwing themselves at everything and getting over the line through sheer mental willpower. But it's a mountain that is almost impossible to climb again, and the players sub-consciously know it. They haven't downed sticks, but to play every single game at the very top of your game is hard for anyone, especially for players that are basically average, of which we have many in our team.

This is whats frustrating, our team can beat anyone when they play like that, see also the liverpool home game last season.  We pressed forward like crazy and liverpool were run ragged.

Its hard to get that mentality back for every game now, the players have hit the pinnacle and got nice wage rises to boot.  Motivation is now much harder.  Buying big has also thrown the wage structure into chaos.

We need quality but also a team spirit, very tough to get right.

Errrrr.... yes.

Errrrrrrrr no. the minute they don't perform they are dropped, and that is why they are top dogs.

They are good owners as they got us out the shit which will never be forgotten.

However they bleat on about Europe being a regular thing and to truly achieve that much more investment is required.

John Terry was shot and they kept on playing him to their own detriment. Ferguson was ruthless with some players, but the likes of Brown, O'Shea, P Neville hung around for years despite not really being good enough.

We won the league once, it wasn't going to happen again. You say we knew they were at the end of their careers before LAST season. They had just won the league, hardly showing signs of not being good enough is it.

We should have bought a Maguire in last season over an Hernandez granted, someone capable of taking a starting spot in the future (we did try with Keane).

They said that once in Thailand did they not, the more regular bleating to us through our media channels has just been about getting established first and foremost.

Which is probably why this summer's window is more sensible.

Please note this isn't aimed at you Chrysalis.

There's an awful lot of naivety about transfers.

The club will have been trying hard to make things happen. Let's face it, good players are difficult to sign. Good players are wanted by their contracted club and other bigger clubs (see Evans). You can't magic signings. On occasions you'll get a gem you'll find but it's a risk and sometimes it doesn't work. It also a long process to find a gem - N'Didi's signing took 18 months to 2 years. A common argument against us is that we take forever to sign a player. That's probably because we are trying to get a good value. A transfer fee may even be agreed but it's the niggly details what become a problem. Maybe we detest giving agents large sums of money for virtually nothing or we have to negotiate a sell-on clause/pay one off (so that when sell again we have all of the transfer fee).

I'm no fan of Rudkin but if he was very poor at his job, he'd be gone. His contract will be small fry to pay off. Most scouts are not contracted and if they are, it will be a twelve month contract. They are the easiest people to pay off in football. If they fail, they will be gone.

They were ambitious when we were in the Championship but now we are in the Premier League they seem to be becoming more underwhelming season after season. If they sell Mahrez, Drinkwater and whoever else without reinvesting every penny made by those transfers in the squad then I think a fair few Leicester fans will be calling for their heads. If we aren't considered a serious threat to the title within the next two or three years then I will be firmly on that bandwagon as well.  Over a year ago they were hinting at a stadium expansion that we greatly need and we have heard next to nothing concrete since, that's a concern. Whatever approach we appear to be taking in the transfer market is obviously counter productive and a concern. Don't get me wrong I appreciate everything they have done for the club and they have my full support currently but I am beginning to question whether they are ambitious enough to take us to the next level.

As a paying fan I've got every right to expect success. We already won the title so I know we have good foundations to achieve exactly that, we just need the owners to put their hands in their pockets and invest. Three more seasons (or 6 transfer windows) is more then enough time to get the squad up to scratch to achieve exactly that. If that's too far beyond their reach then I'd rather they sold up and left to be honest.

Think I'd rather you jacked in your season ticket and pissed off down the Tigers, but then we can't all have what we want can we.

Delusional, utterly delusional.

Do you really think there is an oil tycoon or a Chinese gazillionaire just sat waiting to take over Leicester City?

i cant actually beleive there are Leicester fans like this to be honest,

Give you season ticket to someone who isnt on the bandwagon then, i dont think we need fans that will just jump off if it gets tough.

Is the self-made multi-billionaire who increased his net worth by 1.5 billion in the last 12 months, owns 21% of Thai Air Asia, 100% of a Premier League football club and has plans to acquire another sports team ambitious? Nah I bet he's a real apathetic lazy sod just cruising along with too much life in his work-life balance. His parents probably lament his unfulfilled potential every day.

I can't really believe this thread. We've been splashing the cash like nobody's business recently..Spent 27 million quid on Islam Slimani ffs! Maybe we've been spoiled too much by all the good (actually ****ing awesome) times we've enjoyed recently. Little brats screaming in the back seat because daddy wont buy ice cream on the way home from Disney Land

What a brilliant idea, spend thousands upon thousands on season ticket after season ticket just to give up my seat for free. Yeah right o mate.

Then you should have a good idea about how expectation can curse a club.

To be honest I just go to the rugby to keep my dad company, I don't have the same connection with rugby that I do with football.

Advertising a Thai duty free shop that only has shops in Thailand and has a monopoly anyway doesn't seem like money well spent to me. Nobody's going to travel to Bangkok just to use their shops. I think we have to take the money they've spent at face value.
