Are our owners ambitious?

Rumoured all summer Vardy to Everton.

DD to Chelsea.

Mahrez to ?

I would not be surprised to see all 3 go and who could blame them because our owners lack real ambition to match the spending power of the likes of Everton and others.

Failure to land Gibson/Evans because we miles apart on the fee.

Giving Ulloa a contract extension and letting go of Slimani WTF?

Failure to look for a right back.

Failure to land Sigurdsson and I suspect this is lack of a "named manager" and ambition.

Midfield needs seriously strengthening not one of our midfielders can control a game for sustained periods especially against top 7 sides.

Are problems are our unwillingness to pay the market price for players I can only see us ever being mid-table, but if Vardy DD and Mahrez go I think we will struggle bottom half.

If Vardy,  DD and Mahrez go...

We'll be relegated!

To be fair they have invested a lot, just poor recruitment has preventing us becoming a stronger team, money wasted.

The big window was the one after winning the league, the one chance to attract the better players, we are a small club paying over the odds for average players.

At present maguire looks the only signing to improve us in the last 3 or 4 windows.

I dread to think how much we have spent on a squad that cannot keep possession or pass the ball.

Saying not signing Evans and Gibson is a bad thing?! Why pay 30m for Gibson when we get harry for 12-17? Is he worth twice as much? No

And Evans I'd love here but anything over 20m for someone his age on his wages is mad

I'd rather our owners not go too mad spending money and we have a stable club

Rumours mean nothing. Seem to remember posters on here a few years ago picking some random johnny in Bulgaria and getting us linked to him. Doesn't matter if Vardy has been linked to Everton; he's going nowhere.

Paying stupid amounts for ok players isn't ambition, it's stupidity. Who cares if we didn't pay up for Gibson, we got the better of the two (Maguire) for cheaper. And far as I know Slimani is still here.

In short, you're a tool.

Everton with Sigurdsson, Rooney  and Keene losing 2-0 to Chelsea.

Sigurdsson preferred Everton over us because they have a much stronger PL pedigree nothing to do with money.

Possibly a slight over reaction but I am sure in an interview after the title win they said that this was just the beginning and they would not be happy until we were a regular threat to the European places.

Think they have been the best owners a club could ask for but I think they have certainly played it more safe than many thought since the title win.

The trouble with the window after winning the league was,, we won the league. We were the best team in the country and to get better players in we would have had to offer them first team football which meant we would have had to get rid of players. I think we still have that same problem as most of these players are fans favourites and heroes to many.

"Wes, you've just won the league, now eff off back to Nottingham"

never going to happen.

Who would you have got rid of?
