Zacman2 Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 My sons friend passed away at 16 years of age , he was a hugh leicester fan and we are trying to get a minute of applause going in the 16th minute of Sunday's game. Please share
The whole world smiles Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Good luck doing this hope it works. in my experience these kind of things very rarely come off. Probably better going to the game having a few beers and rembering shay amongst yourselves and raising a glass to him that way you won't be disappointed if it doesn't work on 16 minutes and can just enjoy the game regardless. Ps I can only imagine your friends loss I am trying to tell anyone how to grieve.
TrentFox Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 Irrespective of the idea of a minute of applause, it’s a heart-breaking story and be confident that our thoughts are with all those affected by the loss.
GaelicFox Posted 25 October 2017 Posted 25 October 2017 I think you might be better to give more time and pick a game in Dec and then bash it on here local radio and twitter ... that way it will come off my deepest sympathies to his family and friends
Zacman2 Posted 26 October 2017 Author Posted 26 October 2017 We're hoping so to there's been quite a lot of shares on Facebook and other social media sites so fingers crossed ?
SheppyFox Posted 27 October 2017 Posted 27 October 2017 Keep this topic bumped, would love this to happen.
ZeGuy Posted 27 October 2017 Posted 27 October 2017 Life can be a real bitch. It always breaks my heart to see someone go at this age.
Zacman2 Posted 27 October 2017 Author Posted 27 October 2017 Just to let you all know this will be in the mercury tomorrow and shays dad has been on the radio today. We had sorted tickets for the family but the owners have been in touch and given them seats in the corporate area so its going to be a very emotional day. But any support people can give just by spreading the word is very much appreciated

FoxesDeb Posted 28 October 2017 Posted 28 October 2017 Had a look on Everton's forum earlier, and they have posted this on their match thread, good on them. My eldest son lost his friend at age 8 to the same thing, it's heartbreaking. Deepest sympathies to all of you ♥️

lnkstern Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Stupid question... Does the 16th minute start at 15:00 or 16:00 on the clock? For purposes of this clap, I mean.
