Schmeicel - 7. Did a decent job when called upon. Kicking was very hit and miss but good all the same

Amartey - 8. Very good game. Looked more assured than usual and defended well.

Dragovic - 8. Solid and composed. Only got beat once and did his job well. All credit to him taking over Wes.

Maguire - 9. Running out of superlatives for this guy. Yes he makes the odd mistake but he's a Leicester City player, not a Barcelona player. Good on the ball, good in the air, absolutely dominant today. Morata may as well have sat on the bench.

Chilwell - 7. Minus one for red. Excellent first half and a more subdued second. Getting better and better.

Mahrez - 9. Not sure where we'd be without his flair and creativity. He takes the piss sometimes with his bursts of pace with the ball. World class.

Ndidi - 9. His stature suggests Toure but his play is more like Kante. Superb performance yesterday. Frightening how good he is for someone so young. Made himself a nuisance and really grew into the game.

James - 9. Skeptical of his selection but was superb alongside Wilf. Great run in the first half to set up Vardy and looks comfortable on the ball. Credit to him after a few set backs with injury.

Albrighton - 8. Hustled, bustled, worked hard and never gave anyone an inch. Industrious performance as always from him.

Shinji - 9. Very much enjoyed his link up play with Mahrez in the first. The importance of Shinjis game to Leicester's style is unparalleled. Should've done better with his first chance but impressive again.

Vardy - 9. Typical Vardy, a shame he couldn't add a goal. Never gave defenders a moment's rest and his movement is right up there with the best.

 

Fuchs - 7. Did fine, assured.

 

Gray and Iborra NA.

Puel 8. Probably should've given a 9 on reflection, glad we set out to attack from the off.

 

Chelsea 3, a generous 3 as well. Only Kante and Courtois can have their head held high. Also, Bakayoko, what a fraud of a player.

 

Ref 4, seemed to favour Chelsea for large parts.

Best we’ve played in the league since the Man City game at the Etihad for my money. Really ought to have been a similar result.

Kaspersky - 7 Crucial save in the last minute but boy, that distribution.

 

Amartey - 8. Very good game. Didn't put a wrong foot.

Dragovic - 8 Solid game. Glad for him it worked out.

Maguire - 9 Reminds me Mats Hummels and he still has room to progress. A gem.

Chilly - 6.5 Very good first half. Naive defending cost him a red.

 

 

Mahrez - 9 MOTM Shame he didn't got an assist and stupidly fell over in the box instead of taking his chance but overall the best player on the pitch. The way he glided past 4-5 Chelsea players in the second half was a sight to behold. Magic.

Ndidi - 9 Absolutely everywhere. Worked his socks off in the midfield and never let them breath. Improvement in passing too.

James - 8 Great game, showed flashes of class and held up well against one of the best midfields of the league.

Albrighton  7.5 Classic performance. Worked hard.

 

Shinji - 7.5 Should've buried that first chance. Tiredlessly annoyed them linked up well with Mahrez.

Vardy - 7 Pestered their defense but unusually unsharp in the box.

Fuchs - 6. Ok job.

Iborra - 4 Stupid foul conceded in the additional time which could have cost us dearly.

Gray N/A 

 

Puel - 9. Came to win and set-up the team accordingly. Best Team performance this season. Spot on tactically and brave enough to start James against Chelsea which worked out flawlessly. He could be the man who'll bring James to his Level before his injuries and maybe more.

 

Chelsea - 5 Seemed very tired and never were in position to really threaten us.

I think Kasper should get two marks, one for distribution the other for everything else. Next Christmas he should dress up as a tennis ball machine he's spitting balls all over the place! 

 

Puel was my MOTM - 10, with Mahrez the Diving Wizard close second (9). Can't remember last time when I gave so many 8s and 7s.

Claud Puel  9 - Almost perfect tactics for this game, we looked like the home team
Kasper Schmeichel  8 - Always good to get a clean sheet
Daniel Amartey  8 - Probably his best game for us, worked really well with N'didi
Aleksandar Dragović 8 - Steady, I really hope that he signs for us at the end of his loan period
Ben Chilwell - 6 (2 points off for probably costing us 2 points) looked good up to the red mist tackles.
Riyad Mahrez -  9 Just gets better and better since Puel's arrival
Wilfred Ndidi - 9.5 Outplayed Kante, nothing more to add.
Matty James - 8 Good solid performance, we've some good options in midfield now after being an area for great concern since Kante left
Marc Albrighton - 8 Had a good busy game
Shinji Okazaki - 8 What an asset he is to us, I just wish he had a better end result in front of goal
Jamie Vardy - 8 Some great positioning and well timed runs could have got a couple with a bit more luck
