Yeah it’s good to see more and more of it. Morrisons has had a fine selection for a while now.

Estrella Galicia is a sensational beer. Up there with the Germans.

Hopefully doesn't get too popular they'll start brewing it in Luton

Saino's have some good Anschluss gear knocking about too. Stiegl, Augustiner and, most miraculously, an Erdinger that isn't a fvcking wheat beer.

Tbf the Erdinger Alkoholfrei is very good.

Isn't Modelo just the latest crap, bland macro lager being pushed by the big brewers?

It is definitely getting a big push now. I had a few in the Swan over the weekend and it’s decent enough beer on a sunny day.

Had a few Modelos over in the US a few years ago and thought it was ok, but I have noticed it's getting a bit of a push over here now. Is it one of those that's made to look like a foreign import but it's actually just brewed over here now?

no, it is still brewed in Mexico at the minute

Just had a look and the draft beer is brewed in Wales by ABInBev. It's one of those corn lagers , like Corona and the American Light beers, which makes it cheap to make and bland.

Looks like they'll be heavily playing on it being Mexican (that famous brewing country) after the Spanish ship has reached capacity!

Have quited liked Modelo for a while, after finding a bottle in company shop a few years ago. Lidl have had it occasionally for a few years as well. If you get the 355ml bottles they are Mexican brewed and quite nice, the big bottles they are selling are brewed in the UK and not very nice.

Yeah.

It might taste good compared to a Madri, Carling, Fosters, Carlsberg or Budweiser but generally speaking it’s a poor pint.

Even the imported Mexican lagers are generally sub par + the clear bottles make it taste worse.
