Any decent pub suggestions in Edinburgh? Here visiting family and a little holiday and they’ve not had the best suggestions so far. Ended up with 6 pints of Tennents yesterday. Going to Teutchers Landing but struggling for other suggestions.

Guildford Arms is great. Very impressive interior and loads of independent cask and keg

Did Guildford Arms. Really impressive as you say. Teutchers Landing had a very good selection too.

Spent an evening at Guilford Arms last week. Jolly Judge, Halfway House and World's End are solid small pubs on the other side of Waverley. It's not everyone's favorite, but the guest tap selection at BrewDog on the Mile was pretty impressive, too.

The Hawkestone and Butcombe collaboration is very nice, pleased cask weather is back. Had it in the Royal Oak in Quorn, a pint of Bass at the Apple Treen in Quorn, a surprisingly terrible Hoffbrau at RKD in Mountsorrel with an excellent bratwurst and then some pale in the Swan I can't remember.

 

The Benjamin Pimlico pub has opened up in Seagrave now, as far as I can tell, so eyeing that up next.

The Brew Room was Stag HQ for mine a few years ago. Quiet and decent range on before hitting the trashy gaffs later in the day. Looks like it's now called the Rhythm & Brew Room but still looks decent.

 

Blackpool Cricket Club's bar used to win Camra awards when I lived up there. Good pubs in Poulton (Thatched House) and Lytham (Taps) if you want to branch out.

Not too many options in the town centre these days, not that I like to frequent anyway. Even more so on a Tuesday night.

I nip in the Raleside near the train station after work and its a decent place if there is only a couple of you. Cask and Tap too, but not been there for a bit, it's small though. 

Dirty Blondes is alright as well, but not sure on a Tuesday. It's not a trick I promise 

 

There is a new irish themed bar just opened, Nelly Mulligans, which on first glance looks decent but it is under the Ma Kelly's brand

 

We would rather go into Cleveleys these days but it's a bit out the way.
